Exciting questions about #sustainability, #circulareconomy and the future of #aluminum #alloys in vehicle construction, large-scale casting and the great potential for collaboration between OEMs and suppliers in development. Our innovation manager Katharina Faerber discussed these future topics with Dr. Christian Achmus, Andreas Hennings and Björn Lenz at the Internationale Zuliefererbörse (IZB) In summary, there were three main conclusions: 👉 Increased collaboration: Cooperation between OEMs, suppliers and research institutions is crucial. Only by combining our expertise can we make greater progress together and overcome the challenges facing the industry. 👉 Being open to new ideas: It is essential to be open to adjustments in alloy specifications and to design material properties to be only as good as technically necessary. This flexibility enables us to work more innovatively and resource-efficiently. 👉 Focus on sustainability: Sustainability is at the center of everything we do.
