I see a lot of this on LinkedIn and it may just be me, but I get red flags. Why are companies seeking to fill major roles from outside candidates? Why aren't they promoting from within? Why aren't leaders who are already leading, take the time to train someone to run things. As if it takes a college degree to crunch numbers. Because if you have a great team, there's no need for managers. I personally wouldn't want to be an outsider hired to manage people with high seniority. You're talking about immediate resentment from employees. Perhaps even the loss of great talent.
