Thank you all for your kind messages following yesterday’s post! It means so much that the lessons I've shared resonate with you. Sundays are my day for self-reflection, peace, and fellowship, and today I want to share a lesson I’ve learned on repeat. Life has a funny way of teaching us that support doesn’t always come from the people you’ve known the longest. Sometimes, it’s the ones you’ve just met who lift you up the most and lead you to your becoming ( your personal Hero or Savior journey). Growing up in a large family and a close-knit, faith-based community, I believed support would naturally come from those closest to me. But I’ve realized that’s not always the case. Even Jesus, with His 12 disciples, faced betrayal yet continued His path to becoming our Savior. It’s a powerful reminder that true growth often comes from unexpected places. I’m incredibly grateful for my husband & kids, five siblings,mother in law, my aunties, and friends. That support and bond has taught me the magic of perseverance, especially in business. The support we receive is a bonus, and those who offer it are like guardian angels sent by God during tough times. Trust me in business you have soul crushing times so you need your people! This support remind me that no matter what, there's always a reason to keep pushing forward and that's the nugget for today: Keep going and those who support you are your people! Those who can’t fully support you and only love parts of you may unintentionally contribute to self-destructive patterns. It’s important to set boundaries because you can’t move forward positively without learning to distinguish the people that are there for you and those who are not.

Taking in the beauty and wonder in the natural world (even visual representations) can give us a greater sense of well-being and a connection to something bigger than our individual selves. Connecting with other people and with animals can have a similar effect. Allowing ourselves to receive what is offering itself to us is a skill that can be developed, with practice. What have you already received today? Birdsong, the scent of lilacs, the delight of a blooming flower? A smile, a fresh breeze, a hug, a question, someone's time and attention? When I first joined LinkedIn, I faced rejection and lack of engagement, leading me to give up multiple times. Watching others succeed made me question my place here. Despite the challenges, I kept returning, driven by a desire to connect and share my journey. I chose to stay consistent, pushing forward no matter how difficult it got. Consistency became my mantra. I focused on improving my craft and embracing every opportunity to grow. Slowly but surely, I began to see small wins, proving my efforts were not in vain. Success on LinkedIn isn't just about grand achievements; it's about small, consistent steps. Show up, even when it's hard, and believe in yourself. Today, I'm proud of my journey. Every setback and moment of doubt has shaped me into who I am. To anyone feeling like giving up, remember: that consistency is key. Keep pushing forward, believe in yourself, and never underestimate the power of small wins. You can do it, and your journey is worth it. Thank you for inspiring me to keep going. When I set a goal of 5k followers at the beginning of the year, my friends laughed Well, I was at 600+ so they had every right to laugh 😂 I got to 2000 followers in September, so it's not too late to start I'll not drop 5000 lessons, I'll drop just 5 1. Believe in yourself first - No one will cheer louder for you than you. 2. Kindness goes a long way. - A small act of encouragement can change someone’s day. 3. Celebrate others - Keep clapping for others till it is your turn 4. Show up even when it’s hard - that's how you'll build momentum. 5. Take risks. Growth happens outside your comfort zone. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude! LinkedIn exceeded my expectations. Thank you LinkedIn and everyone. From having zero connections for 2years to now having over 10,000+ amazing individuals as part of my network. My followers are more than followers, they are disciples. They are true definition of your Network is your net worth Initially, I didn't understand the platform's potential. I stayed for 2 years without sending Connection request. Clarity came with time. Today, I've gained: Meaningful connections→ Friends who've become family worldwide. Gig opportunities→Exciting projects and collaborations. I am grateful to you all for your optimism. I appreciate your success stories, inspirational messages and sharing of resources and networks. While I do not post much, I do come here often and scroll. I sometimes stop and read, or I follow a link to see where it goes. I generally learn something. A lot of times, though, I see what others with my same role are doing for their companies and measure it against what I am doing for mine. Sometimes, what works for them would not work for me. Other times, my company isn't interested in that, and I am directed to put my energies toward other objectives. All in a day's work. I do what is asked and offer guidance where necessary to shift the task I am being asked to accomplish where I know it needs to head. That guidance is accepted, or it isn't, and we move on. Then I wonder, could I have more of an impact were I to do this job someplace else? Could another person do a better job in my role here than I am doing now? Honestly, yes to both. And no. Some of it has to do with skill, sure. A lot has to do with personality and relationships. Most of it, though, comes down to choices. We must pick our battles, direct our own energies and avoid negativity as we pursue goals that benefit us, our teams or our companies. Otherwise, it is time to go elsewhere, and it is time to let someone else take a crack at our present position. Because, if it isn't working for one, it almost certainly isn't working for the other. Why do we get annoyed? One of the main causes of our irritation is mirror irritation or REFLECTIONS. That happens when we see traits in others that are peculiar to us. At the same time, we may not even notice these traits in ourselves, or vehemently deny them, especially if they confront our core beliefs or stereotypes. FAILED EXPECTATIONS. Despite the fact that our expectations of a person are no more than our illusions (after all, we invented what the other person should be), many people vent on the object of their expectations.
