"One clear finding — recent counts are turning up fewer birds. Last winter, over 40 million birds were tallied. Compare that to the 70 million tallied just 50 years ago — the first year of the Peterborough-Hancock count — when there were only half as many counts throughout the United States. This loss is a staggering statistic, but it shouldn’t surprise those who’ve kept up with the news about declining bird populations." https://lnkd.in/eJRRyQ2q
