Wrapping up a week at Berkshire’s Leadership Conference in Dallas Texas. Feeling inspired and proud to work for a company that has an all women led Regional Vice President executive team. Also, we were just named top 30 out of 50 Multifamuly owners. Final take away @brenebrown Barrette’s elements of BRAVING: BOUNDARIES: Setting boundaries is making clear what’s okay and what’s not okay, and why. RELIABILITY: You do what you say you’ll do. At work, this means staying aware of your competencies and limitations so you don’t overpromise and are able to deliver on commitments and balance competing priorities. ACCOUNTABILITY: You own your mistakes, apologize, and make amends. VAULT: You don’t share information or experiences that are not yours to share. I need to know that my confidences are kept, and that you’re not sharing with me any information about other people that should be confidential. INTEGRITY: Choosing courage over comfort; choosing what’s right over what’s fun, fast, or easy; and practicing your values, not just professing them. NONJUDGMENT: I can ask for what I need, and you can ask for what you need. We can talk about how we feel without judgment. GENEROSITY: Extending the most generous interpretation to the intentions, words, and actions of others. The BRAVING Inventory can be used as a conversation guide that walks us through trust-building from a place of curiosity, learning, and connection.

Leadership is hard. Don't do it alone. If you struggle with the following questions... ⬆ How do I get to the next level, promotion, etc in my career? ⬆ How do I get the best out of my people? ⬆ What's my vision for this team? ⬆ Why can't we all just get along? ⬆ Where can I get some FREE FOOD? Invest in yourself, your team and grow your business by attending the Leadership Roundtable. If you're in the Cincinnati area, we meet monthly IN-PERSON (say what?!) so that we can build a community of leaders. Come to each session with REAL ISSUES you're facing and we'll help you work through them. We (and what we face) are more alike that we are different, so let's learn from each other. Each month we'll dive into topics like self-awareness, vision, and team health. 🆓 JOIN US OCT 25 - it's absolutely FREE. 🆓 Bring your friends. Share this with your team. To navigate resistance to inclusive practices from senior leadership, present a compelling business case and start with small pilot initiatives to show quick wins. Engage influential allies, offer tailored training, and maintain continuous communication to emphasize the benefits of diversity and inclusion. Align these practices with the organization’s core values, showcase employee testimonials, and highlight the risk management and external pressures to strengthen your case. Persistence is crucial for driving change at the leadership level.
