Hi Everyone, Intersection of excitation line with natural frequency = Resonant? yes, Whenever shape of the excitation match on the corresponding mode shape. Campbell diagram shows the intersection as the resonant in operational speed but according to 3D-plot, excitation line has intersection with projection of natural frequency line at the 10th nodal diameter plane. They are used in construction, shipping, manufacturing, and many other fields. 🌟 Interesting Fact: The design and material of crane hooks are meticulously engineered to ensure safety and durability. They undergo rigorous testing to withstand extreme weights and conditions. ❓ Design Challenge: The key to getting to this design is the use of guide curves in lofted boss/base feature. For the round tip, I used "Dome" feature where it finds flat faces and turns it into semi-circle tips with customized circle radius. Stay tuned for tomorrow's design.
