Our NGO Selfless Sewa recently conducted a cleanliness drive at Yamuna Ghat. We need to save this planet for our upcoming generations to have a good future here and ensure that there is no further damage to our planet 🌍 There are a lot of pros of keeping our surroundings clean- reduces pollution, preserves our biosphere, protects endangered species, so if we can create a better situation to live in, then why not. Live Life Cleaner, make Earth Greener🌳 as our environment is no one's property to destroy; it's everyone's responsibility to protect 🌍🩵 • • • • #LearnWithSelflessSewa #HopeForAll #EducationForAll #HopeInAction #LearningWithoutLimits #HopeFoundationWorks #socialgood #volunteer #HopeForChange #socialwork #EmpowerWithHope #sustainability #impact #charity #YourCity #volunteering #helpothers #supportneeded #kindness #empowerment #theoryofchange #SupportSelflesssewa #makingdifference #nonprofit #humanity

A year ago, #Georgia launched Forest Friend (http://forestfriend.ge/), an online crowdfunding platform to raise funds for saving forests. Since then, the platform has raised more than US$66,000 in donations. 💰 This initiative has united private companies, individual supporters, and volunteers in the mission to restore the precious #forests. 🌲 Georgia’s forests cover nearly half of the country's land area and play a critical role in preserving its unique biodiversity and providing important resources for local communities. Healthy forests are crucial for the well-being of people, the eradication of poverty and the creation of a sustainable environment for future generations. However, the first national forest inventory in 2022 showed that a large part of Georgia’s forests is degraded due to natural factors (diseases, fires) and human activities (illegal logging, overgrazing). These degraded forests are losing their ability to protect, absorb carbon and provide resources, making their restoration more important than ever. Ahead of the #WorldEnvironmentDay, we call for efforts to preserve vital forests. UNDP in Georgia

In Africa, climate-related disasters such as droughts and floods have more than doubled since the early 1990s, harming agricultural productivity and reducing access to food. People in rural communities rely heavily on agriculture, with their well-being closely tied to the natural environment. This means that the 12 million people in communities working with The Hunger Project are extremely vulnerable to weather events, reinforcing the importance of building resilience to climate change. To mitigate the effects of climate change on farmers we run Food Security and Agriculture training in rural communities to adopt climate-resilient, sustainable farming practices to enhance agricultural productivity. From 18th - 25th of April, every pound you donate through @BigGive will be matched. This means your donation will have twice the impact, offering twice the support to those who need it most. Dear network, Build a trustworthy relationship between foundations, donators, companies, CSR programs is critical for a non-profit organization. 'When the roots of a tree begin to decay, it spreads death to the branches.' YEGO Global in Rwanda : 🚜 Farmers often struggle with market access owe to logistical and price barriers. Providing efficient last-mile delivery solutions, what a pain killer in african-smallholder farming business! 🎯 The Challenge: Poor infrastructure and limited transportation options hinder farmers from accessing the market and bargain a fair price. 📦 The Solution: Yegomoto leverages a network of motorbike riders to collect produce from farms and deliver the end consumers or wholesalers in urban areas. 🌍 The Impact: Generate hope and income for smallholder farmers who could not even sell their production, tackling the food security aspect. - 🔗 Some are non-profitable pains to a business but economically beneficial to a sector. These pains are foundations’ The reason why, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation mentionned: "Connecting farmers to markets is vital for improving livelihoods and boosting economic growth" 🔑 To generate trust, Let’s have in comments a conversation on my KSF choice : « remove highly economic and/or social impactful pains. » - #LastMileDelivery #Rwanda #SmallholderFarmers #AgriTech #MarketAccess #FoodSecurity #ImpactInvesting

Distribution of forage seeds, cutting, and seedlings for selected 540 households, 50 per household. In the last summer farming season, the project distributed 6.3 quintals of cowpeas to 166 households (153 men and 13 women). 🌿🌱 All the distributed seeds were planted by all the smallholder farmers and the performance of the forage seed was very good as observed during field monitoring visits. This forage has been chosen for its multipurpose benefits such as increasing biomass, supplementing household food demands and nutritional needs, and improving the farmland soil fertility. 🌿🌱 Help us support projects such as this one, donate today. 🙌 https://lnkd.in/eau9WmAr #ActionEthiopia #GivingTuesday #UKCharity #WaterEqualsLife #RemoteProjects #Community #SustainableForest #LandManagement #Tourism #Ethiopia #Giving #Humanitarian #Fundraising #NonProfit

The 2021 flood in Ahrtal, Germamy is estimated to have cost 80bn 🤯 What if we invested proactively in political engagement to support sustainability? The number of 100-year floods and disasters is growing, and so is the cost. Costs to our lives and livelihoods, to our food systems and supply chains. What if we invested proactively into political engagement? This might sound like a surprising idea, but political engagement can be an unstoppable force for sustainability. In fact, research by Stanford Social Innovation Review shows that investments into political engagement can create significantly more impact than donations to the biggest charities (link in comments). What opportunities do you see for preventative investments for sustainability? #sustainability #food #future

Through Rich Crops Action Lab (RCAL), we are unlocking the hidden potential of opportunity crops, paving the way for more sustainable and nutritious food systems. This year, instead of smallholder farmers selling rich cultivated oats, we are launching a fundraiser to donate the oats (and pay the smallholder farmers a fair market price) directly to the YAMNA Cooperative in Morocco. By doing so, we support a women-led business and ensure that these nutrient-rich oats reach families, enhancing food security and driving community empowerment. By donating, you are not just giving but investing in a mission to create lasting change. Your contribution is valuable and will make a significant impact. Any amount will help Morocco’s YAMNA co-op in making 60,000 healthy meals! Help raise $20K to bring nutritious oats to families. 💧 In many areas, searching for water is dangerous. People are forced to dig without proper equipment, creating unsafe wells that don’t guarantee #CleanWater. This leads to thirst, sickness, and fatigue, causing health problems, loss of income, and missed school days. When clean #water arrived in Morpus, Kenya, life transformed: 🍎 Fresh fruit from watered plants 🐄 Better income from well-fed livestock 🎓 No school days missed due to illness This is how water transforms lives. NGOs are key to help communities build and manage sustainable water infrastructure. The GF Walk for Water raises awareness and funds for Water Mission, helping communities secure a better future.
