The U.S. Census Bureau said less than 26% of U.S. households still have someone working remotely. Additionally, a separate study by Resume Builder showed 90% of companies plan to implement a return to office policy by the end of 2024. As everyone (apparently) heads back to the office, I thought it would be fun to relive the early days of work-from-home and how each generation handled the transition. What do you think? Does these still hold true? #workfromhome #returntooffice #leadership #generations #funny #eventprofs #meetingprofs

Hearing this interesting fact at an FPA of the Triangle meeting a few months back, I remember thinking to myself, “I wonder why?”. Is it the quality of life, the nature of where nearly all jobs are headed, or simply the types of jobs that exist in this area. Either way, I think it’s fascinating to expore this new frontier and if you haven’t checked out Blush Cowork yet, here is your nudge! #remotework #coworkingspace #womencoworking

The percentage of workers whose work can theoretically be done remotely working from home is declining, but still far exceeds pre-pandemic numbers. Interesting insight into the #hybridwork landscape.
About a third of U.S. workers who can work from home now do so all the time

Interesting 💭findings from this research about hybrid working - especially around the impact on retention. The headline that 2/3 of respondents want two days or fewer in an office is certainly true. But very quick maths also shows that slightly more (68%) want two days or more. For us the more pertinent figures are that the most popular working pattern (57%) is a 3:2 split either way and on average agencies are asking for 2.6 days in the office. On that basis, there seems to have been some consensus reached - at least for the majority of people. 🤝 That said, it's very rare that we speak with candidates who are leaving a company because of an increased number of office days. As ever, the usual reasons why people move on are the culture, the work and progression. With that context, it's telling that this research seems to show some correlation between time spent in the office and both a feeling of belonging 🫂 and a sense of your development being supported.

According to a US Census Bureau survey this summer, 27% of respondents said someone in their household teleworked or worked from home in the last 7 days. That’s down from the pandemic peak of 37% in 2021. However, this varies a lot by state. Respondents in Louisiana (14%) and Mississippi (12%) came in at the low end, while Vermont (40%), Maryland (37%) and Colorado (37%) had the highest rates. #remotework
