American Health Law Association #fraudandcompliance kicks off in Baltimore. The #LoperBright Decision and What it Means for Health Care. Roman Martinez (Latham & Watkins) who won the case. Brian Stimson (Arnall Golden Gregory LLP), with John Kelly (Barnes & Thornburg LLP) moderating. Interesting discussion around the additional litigation that is going to come to challenge more agency decisions. See lots of cases coming. Judges are going to face a lot more. Changing approach on teh government and litigants will take on cases. Maybe less settled law (and I think honestly of course less settled), but Mr. Martinez suggests reliance interest will increase once courts rule, and agency cannot change as much. We will see.

Are you up to date with the latest research on #ParentalAlienation ? "Approx 40% of the literature has been published since 2016." (Harman et al., 2022). This figure has increased substantially since this article was written. In addition,"Research from UTAS has revealed that most therapeutic practitioners working with alienated families who completed a survey of their practices, did not use current research, existing therapeutic frameworks or relevant theoretical models to guide their work. These findings indicate that there is no consistency in the therapeutic intervention’s courts are ordering families to engage in and these therapeutic interventions may not be evidence based or effective (Huxley, 2023)." A vital question to ask yourself: 'Are you up to date with the latest research?' If not, and you work with families in complex dynamics or within the Family Court system, you might face challenging questions in court. At EMMM, we empower families with the most recent research.
