I love running this course. We can just plod along, not really thinking about how we are communicating in our interactions with clients. Kind of think it’s ok, but have a few niggles and thoughts that there might be something different we could do. In this two hour online course, we dig into consultation structure and the structure and function of language and how we can incorporate shared decision making into our interactions. Looking forward to the session! #veterinary #veterinarycommunication

The eagerly anticipated 2024 results are in for the AMAWA’s annual Hospital Health Check (HHC). The results reveal that our hospitals have continued a trend over the last few years of high performance achieving an “A” rating across four of the seven assessment areas and topping the State in five!👏 The HHC is an annual survey conducted by Australian Medical Association (WA) to provide insight into the work environment that hospitals across WA provide for doctors in training. The survey is designed to assist medical students and doctors in training to select their preferred workplace with rankings assessed across a range of factors. We are very pleased to again be maintaining our top tier rating across the key areas doctors in training feel are important and achieving a score of 91% for being an employer they would recommend - the equal highest score in the State.👍 We acknowledge that there is still work to do and we will continue to build on our great culture to remain an employer of choice for doctors in training.
