The event brought together healthcare systems, hospitals, and climate activists to explore solutions for sustainable, climate-resilient healthcare. HBM's digital presentation, titled "Sustainable Health Care: Hospital Bukit Mertajam's Path Towards Net Zero Carbon Emission,"showcased impressive achievements in its environmental initiatives. The hospital has successfully reduced carbon emissions by 1,000.36 tons of CO₂ and saved over 3 million kWh of energy from 2019 to 2023. These efforts contribute to the hospital's commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050,in alignment with the mission of Health Care Without Harm(HCWH) to drive global transformation towards eco-friendly healthcare.
