Therapy does not always produce fast results - in some cases it takes longer. ⏳ Becca (not her real name) is one of my clients with the same situation. I’m not sure who needs to hear this today, but healing takes time. Whether it’s an injury or virus, heartache, loss or spiritual crisis it’s going to take some time. I know it’s hard, I’ve had my own experiences with illness and mental health challenges as well as worked with hundreds of clients as a coach, guiding others as they rehab their injuries or move through emotional wounds that run deep. Despite what some may tell you, this isn’t something you can hack into or bypass as much as you may want to. Real healing takes time and it’s important to offer up space and patience as we allow ourselves to move through it. Take actions where you can in the way of mind-body practices that invite in healing and meet yourself with awareness, kindness and compassion. Every day.
