The Public Health Communication Centre has made its submission on the Fast-Track Approvals Bill. Summary: "The PHCC opposes the Bill. The main objections that are detailed in the submission are: 1. The Bill is significantly out-of-step with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet advice on best-practice policy and policy development. 2. The Bill reduces the rigour required, and increases bias in, decision-making on major projects. 3. The Bill circumvents legal protections for public health, leaving New Zealanders more vulnerable to illness and death from pollution. 4. The Bill fails to adequately account for climate change and the protective value of a healthy environment, leaving communities’ health and well-being more vulnerable. 5. The Bill undermines democratic processes. 6. The Bill is likely to worsen inequality. 7. The Bill is likely to have long-term impacts on public health – impacting the lives of our children and grandchildren. We strongly recommend the Environment Select Committee does not recommend the Bill to the House and, in doing so, highlights its threats to New Zealanders’ health and well-being. We recommend the Committee urge the Government to re-direct its work programme to develop “a long-term vision for a transition towards a low-carbon, greener economy,” and to “build on [our] well-developed knowledge and innovation system for exporting higher value export products and decouple growth from natural resource use” as recommended by the OECD" . In Q1 2024, my client commissioned me to conduct a high-impact research project, focused on a specific region in the UK. This involved engagement and interviews with stakeholders from private employment service providers, charities, local authorities, and voluntary organisations, seeking to capture knowledge and insight on the design and delivery of critical services across some key areas, such as healthcare, justice, and employability. The outcome, a 30-page, Board-ready research paper, provided my client with several distinct advantages in a highly-competitive market, such as; 🔵 Tailored insights: detailed understanding of local feeling, need and opportunity, impacting programme design and growth strategies 🔵 Informed Executive decision-making: providing live feedback to allow for more effective strategic planning 🔵 Credibility: providing clarity and information to deepen credibility for future conversations 🔵 Stakeholder engagement: a dossier of engagement provided as a platform to develop highly effective networking strategies 🔵 Local knowledge & understanding: demonstrating a commitment to solution development at a granular level, informing community engagement strategies based on live, local knowledge As organisations across the UK prepare for fundamental change to the delivery of funded services in the coming months, independent research can provide invaluable, unbiased insight, leading to more effective, transparent and high-impact executive decision making. Please reach out directly if you would more information. craig@cpbusiness.co.uk | 07702157015

🔥 $700K Submitted. Here’s Why It Matters. 🔥 Rural healthcare is the backbone of America. It’s where real innovation happens—because it has to. Resources are limited, teams are stretched thin, and yet these critical access hospitals show up every single day to serve their communities. This week, Rudzina Health took another big step forward by submitting over $700,000 in grant proposals for these essential institutions. Why is this important? Because every dollar matters. These grants aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet—they’re investments in life-saving care for communities that often go overlooked. 💡 Here’s the kicker: Too many hospitals are leaving money on the table because they don’t know how to access these funds. At Rudzina Health, we’re changing that. We’re not just helping hospitals survive—we’re setting them up to thrive in an environment that’s only getting tougher. To my network: If you’re in rural healthcare—or you know someone who is—let’s talk. There’s too much at stake to let opportunities like this slip by. 💬 Drop a comment or DM me if you want to discuss how we can bring funding to your hospital or organization. Together, we can make a difference where it’s needed most. #CriticalAccessHospitals #HealthcareInnovation #Grants #RudzinaHealth
