🚑Our #InterregATHU Project Healnow laid the foundations of the cross-border cooperation of the emergency services of Hungary and Austria. 📄Last week in the official gazette of Hungary, a law was published on the announcement of the Framework Agreement on Cross-border Rescue Service Cooperation between Hungary and the Republic of Austria. Now regional agreements can be concluded to establish cross-border rescue cooperations. These agreements will allow - among others - to organize ambulance services in the framework of cross-border cooperation. The framework agreement is also available in English in the official gazette of Hungary: https://lnkd.in/d3c_XEmt ✅After a successfully implemented project #MadewithInterreg, the legislative process is further strengthening the cooperation.

I'm leaving on a jet plane .......................... don't know when I'll be back again. Leaving the NHS for 10 days to work in Singapore. Great to be with colleagues from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) launching the Intercontinental Alliance for Integrated Care a new global learning network looking at Ageing and Integration. I'll also be attending the second Asia Pacific Social Prescribing Conferance with colleagues from SingHealth . I've been reflecting on the current state of the NHS and colleagues who may be leaving. Many GPs of my age are leaving the NHS and like the song they are torn to be leaving the NHS but life outside is more attractive. GP Retention is an urgent issue as highlighted by the Royal College of General Practitioners with the current workforce plan for General Practice looking bleak over coming years. This editorial in the BMJ refers to a paper linking retention of acute staff doctors and nurses to mortality but also recognises the importance of continuity in General Practice and retaining the workforce. https://lnkd.in/e2-hJfti We need some urgent action to recruit new GPs and to retain others. Improved working conditions flexiblity in hours and specific programmes are needed urgently as part of the solutions to fix the NHS. In order to deliver the 3 government shifts we need GPs to stay and not to shift ! So I shall be back again returning to the NHS in 10 days time but how can we keep more GPs in the NHS. What are your solutions?
