MCG Healthcare’s Post

From patients to healthcare workers and organisations, we can all do our part to save lives this World Blood Donor Day. There is a critical need for regular blood donations. Based on recent statistics, older donors have surpassed younger ones for the first time in 5 years. The NHS Blood and Transplant is now calling on 17-35-year-olds to become lifesavers in 2024. How can organisations help? • Partner with local blood banks to organise blood donation drives at your workplace. • Encourages employees, especially younger ones, to donate blood and maybe even offer incentives like an extended break. • Raise awareness by sharing information about the importance of blood donation through your internal communications and on social media. Let’s come together to ensure a steady supply of blood for those in need. #WorldBloodDonorDay #GiveBlood #UKHealthcare
