With November behind us, we've kicked off our annual family debate: How early is too early to start putting up Christmas decorations? 🎄 We’ve still got a few things left to decorate—including getting a real tree. You can't beat the smell of a grand fir. This got me thinking about a few things we do around our house to keep the holidays simple and enjoyable: 1️⃣ Have travel contingency plans. Life happens—being prepared makes all the difference. 2️⃣ Block off 1-2 nights a week for family time. No plans, no stress—just being together. 3️⃣ Maintain healthy habits. Enjoy the indulgences, but balance them with the things that keep your body and mind feeling good (shoutout to Mayo Clinic). 4️⃣ Focus on what really matters. Gifts, decorations, and food are great, but the heart of the season is quality time with the people you love most (thanks, Johns Hopkins, for the reminder). What are your go-to ways to keep the holidays meaningful and stress-free? #HolidaySeason #FamilyTime #KeepItSimple

💫 Holiday Sensitivity: A Time for Grace and Understanding 💫 The holiday season often brings joy and togetherness, but for many, it can also bring a mix of emotions. For those of us missing loved ones, like this year being my first holiday season without my dad, it's important to remember that grief doesn’t take a break during the festivities. As we gather to celebrate, let's extend grace to ourselves and others. It's okay to feel a range of emotions, and it's important to be sensitive to those who may be navigating their own unique holiday challenges. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, personal struggles, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the season’s demands—compassion and understanding go a long way. Let’s support one another with kindness, patience, and the reminder that it’s okay to have a quiet moment, to share a memory, or to simply be present in whatever way feels right. Wishing peace, comfort, and grace to all this holiday season. 💙 #HolidayGrace #EmotionalSupport #CompassionateHolidays #GriefAndHealing

Does the holiday season feel more like survival than celebration? Let's flip the script. Overwhelm doesn't have to own your holidays. Here's how to claim your peace: 1. Start with Presence, Not Perfection: Before your day starts spiraling, spend 5 minutes grounding yourself—whether it's deep breathing, lighting a candle, or standing still under the twinkling lights. Peace begins with you. 2. Make "No" a Full Sentence: Every "yes" adds weight to your day. Let go of traditions, tasks, or gatherings that don't light you up. Your joy matters too. 3. Let Someone Else Steer the Sleigh: Whether it's wrapping gifts, meal prep, or decorating, let others step in. Remember, your genius isn't in doing it all—it's in showing up fully. Peace isn't found in the "perfect holiday" (that's only a movie)—it's created in the moments you give yourself permission to pause. What's one way you bring calm to the chaos? Drop your favorite tip below—we could all use it! #RethinkTheHolidays #PermissionToPause #AlignedJoy

7 Things That Are Okay During the Holidays When You’re Grieving 1. It’s okay to feel sad, even when everyone around you is celebrating. 2. It’s okay to say no to traditions that don’t feel right this year. 3. It’s okay to laugh or experience joy without guilt; it doesn’t mean you’re forgetting your loved one(s). 4. It’s okay to honor your loved one in your own way. You can light a candle, leave a place setting for them, or go around the table sharing stories of them. Whatever it is, make it your own. 5. It’s okay to leave early if it becomes too overwhelming. I have done this many times. 6. It’s okay to set boundaries with intrusive questions, even if they are well-meaning. 7. It’s okay to feel everything—or nothing at all—and let the holidays be what they are this year. Each year has been different for me; some felt easier than others. You will never know until they happen. Give yourself some grace and forgiveness. #GriefJourney #HealingThroughGrief #GriefSupport #HolidayGrief #MentalHealthMatters #ItsOkayToGrieve #YouAreNotAlone
