Here’s some guidance on how you can evaluate diamond’s quality in your future purchase 1. Examine the Certification: Always review the diamond’s certificate from a reputable grading lab. Ensure the diamond comes with a certificate from a reputable grading laboratory like the GIA, AGS, or IGI. This certificate provides an unbiased assessment of the diamond’s quality. 2. Fluorescence: Some diamonds exhibit fluorescence under UV light, which can affect their appearance and value. Check if the diamond has fluorescence and decide if it impacts your preference. 3. Shape: Different shapes (round, princess, oval, etc.) have unique qualities and may affect the diamond’s brilliance and appearance. Look at multiple diamonds to understand differences in cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. 4. Setting: The setting can enhance or diminish the appearance of a diamond. Consider how the setting affects the overall look. 5. Inspect with Proper Tools: Use a jeweler’s loupe or microscope to check for inclusions and blemishes. 6. Seek Professional Advice: Consult with a certified gemologist or trusted jeweler for expert evaluation and advice. Hope this will help you in your next diamond purchase 🙌🏻 #loosediamonds #loosediamondindustry #diamondsforever #diamondindustry #diamodcare #diamondlove

4Cs of diamonds are the four key characteristics that determine a diamond's value and quality. They are: 1. *Carat*: The weight of the diamond, with larger diamonds being more valuable. 2. *Color*: The color of the diamond, with colorless diamonds (graded D-F) being the most valuable. 3. *Clarity*: The presence or absence of inclusions (internal imperfections) and blemishes (external imperfections), with clearer diamonds being more valuable. 4. *Cut*: The proportions, symmetry, and polish of the diamond, with well-cut diamonds refracting light better and being more valuable. The 4Cs are used by gemologists and jewelers to evaluate and certify diamonds, and are considered the global standard for diamond evaluation. Here's a brief summary of each: - Carat: Weight (larger is more valuable) - Color: Graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown) - Clarity: Graded from Flawless (FL) to Included (I) - Cut: Graded from Excellent to Poor Let me know if you have any specific questions about the 4Cs!

Learn to discern because all that glitters is not gold. Cubic zirconias can have a close resemblance to diamonds. However under close examination utilizing the 4 C’s of color, clarity, carat and cut, the diamond is easily distinguishable. Sit in your observation booth (with binoculars if necessary) conduct proper research and make the proper call/decision. That proposal may appear to be phenomenal until you read the fine print. That new associate may seem to be the ideal person to work with until you appear to shine brighter in your lane of brilliance. And, some may show their true colors. Keep it moving and don’t sweat the small stuff! #MasterMotivationalMindsetCoach #hopedealer #MotivateTheMotivatorTeam

Understanding the Bow Tie Effect in Oval Cut Diamonds! The 'bow tie' refers to the dark area seen across the center of some oval-cut diamonds. While some prefer this unique feature, others aim for a diamond with minimal bow tie for a more even sparkle. Choosing an IGI certified diamond ensures you're informed about the cut quality and can select the perfect stone to match your preference. ✨ #OvalCutDiamond #BowTieEffect #IGICertified #DiamondEducation #CutQualityMatters

Today, I received a pair of ear studs from a well-known jeweler. These were brought in by a customer for exchange, claiming they were 40 years old. The jeweler, not wanting to take any risks, brought them in for inspection, as two stones were missing from one of the studs. Using our basic screening tools—DOVE from Gemetrix and Trusure from #mindron —we obtained identical results. Notably, the center diamond in the right stud, which displayed a bright pale green hue (if I am not mistaken), was identified as CVD, likely post-growth treated (mild phosphorescence was observed). The interesting part is that CVD diamonds have been around for less than 25 years, yet the customer insisted the piece was 40 years old. Regardless of the story behind it, the results are based on what we observed during the inspection.

A modifier refers to a secondary color mentioned on the GIA report as part of the color description. The undertone refers to a color sensation that is not expressed on the report. The image above demonstrates two fancy intense pink and vivid yellow diamonds with different undertones. This feature is important as it impacts the price per carat.
