Work from home Virtual Position Remote Hybrid These are the buzzwords when it comes to job hunting. But let's be real, working from home can sometimes be overwhelming. As a full-time employee, a full-time caregiver to my grandmother with dementia, and a business owner, the walls of my home office can feel suffocating. That's why today, I decided to listen to my intuition and get out of the house. Meeting a co-worker in person for coffee at a quaint coffee shop was just what I needed to recharge and enjoy my home office tomorrow. Sometimes, a simple change in environment can make all the difference. Do you have any tips for staying motivated while working from home? Recently a friend who has 3 kids, the youngest is 8 months has started coming over. She talks with me as I work or take breaks and watches my son when I have meetings. She got me to sign up and do Orangetheory with her. Her coming over has honestly been transformative for me because being remote is everyone’s dream but sometimes it’s isolating and can turn you into a hermit. Getting out and enjoying the perks is great. Gotta listen to your intuition.
