This week, the House of Lords approved the Government’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) mandate legislation, following approval in the House of Commons in September.   The mandate will require 10% of all UK aviation fuel in 2030 to be SAF and is essential to signal demand for SAF in the UK and scale up domestic production. It is a critical milestone for the future of aviation and demonstrates the sector’s commitment to delivering net zero. Heathrow is also targeting 11% SAF usage at the airport by 2030, as part of our world-leading SAF incentive scheme.   With thanks to Peers and Parliamentarians from all parties for passing the mandate, and for the hard work of Government officials on this critical legislation. Attention now turns to maintaining critical pace on the SAF revenue certainty mechanism to help de-risk investment.   Find out more about the ways Heathrow are using SAF here: https://lnkd.in/eiYeBStN
