(2 sticks) of butter melted and cooled, 1 cup sugar 3 tablespoons baking powder 4 cups flour 1 tsp. vanilla ½ tsp. salt Optional Ingredients: Anisette, Lemon, and lemon rind. You can also add a tablespoon or two of lemon juice to the Glaze. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Place beaten eggs in a large bowl. Add butter and sugar gradually mixing continuously with a wooden spoon. Add vanilla. Then gradually add the flour to make a soft dough. Don't add extra flour or the cookies will be hard. Scoop out with small ice cream scoop onto baking sheet about two inches apart. Bake 10-15 minutes depending on size. Full batch should make about 6 dozen- half batch about 3 dozen. You can also use Parchment paper in place of the Silpat. Glaze 4 cups confectionary sugar ¼ to ½ cup milk 2 Tablespoons to ¼ cup milk 1 tsp. vanilla Colored sprinkles When cookies are cooled, dip top into glaze and sprinkle with sprinkles.

French Apple Cake Just tried this classic French Apple Cake recipe and it turned out amazing! Perfectly moist, full of apples, and not too sweet. A slice of this is like a cozy hug. Ingredients: 1 1/2 pounds of apples (about 4 large apples), peeled, cored, and sliced 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder Pinch of salt 4 large eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled Directions: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8 or 9-inch springform pan. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Gently fold in the dry ingredients, followed by the melted butter. Fold in the apple slices until they are evenly coated with the batter. Pour into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, then run a knife around the edge of the pan and remove the sides. Serve warm or at room temperature.
