At REHAU Profile Solutions and Silnova, we know how important innovation is in the aircraft industry in order to shape the aviation of the future ✈️. Lightweight construction and highly efficient technologies play a particularly important role here, because every gram counts. That's why we presented two pioneering product innovations at Aircraft Interior Expo 2024. 🌟 With our lightweight material RAU-FLIGHT and the innovation RAU-FLIGHT SIK, we reduce the weight of aircraft components by up to 10 %. This means less fuel consumption and a better energy balance. 🔧 Thanks to our Prototyping@Silnova technology, we will be able to produce prototypes with typical silicone properties quickly and efficiently in future. This will enable us to make adjustments in the shortest possible time and test different product variants with our customers. This not only saves us development time, but also costs. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/etg_s-i2 #rehau #rehauworld #profilesolutions #aviation #lightweight construction #prototyping #innovation #silnova

🦶𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐱: #WaybackWednesday to a feature E-Mobility Engineering published about us a couple of months ago. Touted as the future of EV propulsion, axial flux motors are more compact, lighter and offer higher power and torque densities than their radial flux counterparts. Until now, they have been exceedingly hard to build but Traxial, a subsidiary of Magnax, is aiming to change the game with a new design methodology that could take this to the mainstream. The Belgium-based company’s design-for-manufacture approach to its motor has resulted in a solution that minimises the number of parts required, maximises the ease of automation in assembly, minimises material use and ensures the crucial tolerances can be achieved in mass production. Traxial’s Operations and Systems Engineering manager, Gianluca Lioce, explained: “𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.
