In the new Final Cut Pro promo video from yesterday, I noticed a little feature that seems minor but I wish #Camtasia had: the ability to move clips up or down on the above or below track using a keyboard shortcut. It could even go a step further than that and allow me to select a couple of tracks and then push all of the clips on those tracks down or up if there is room. Many times in editing, I find myself with a lot of empty tracks or tracks that have a single clip on them but they span the entire length of my project. I would like to merge that little piece of the clip with something else on another track and then lose that extra track. This would make it easy to merge them, like a Tetris game. I know, I know I could select the clips manually and move them down or up, but you risk shifting them horizontally as well. This would be such a time saver, and it feels to me as a developer like a low-hanging fruit for the developers at TechSmith. Dear TechSmith, what do you think?
