𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗮𝗿𝘀 Let me share a quick story. I recently worked with a hotel team that was struggling to hit their revenue targets. Everyone was working hard—sales were chasing new leads, marketing was launching campaigns, and revenue management was tweaking rates. But something wasn’t clicking. When I joined their conversations, it became clear: the teams weren’t aligned. Sales didn’t fully understand the revenue strategy. Marketing was creating great campaigns, but they weren’t driving the right bookings. Revenue management was focused on numbers but missing the bigger picture. The result? Silos, confusion, frustration and missed opportunities. This is a challenge I see so often in the hospitality industry. Teams are busy, but they’re not moving in the same direction. And when revenue, sales, and marketing aren’t aligned, hotels miss out on growth—and profits. Here’s how I helped: 1. 𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. I brought the teams together to share their perspectives, challenges, and goals. 2. 𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Everyone agreed on what success looked like and how their roles contributed to it. 3. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀. I helped them map out clear steps to ensure every action supported the same revenue goals. A few months later, they hit their quarterly targets—because they weren’t just working harder. They were working together. This is what I do. I help hotels align their commercial strategies, so their teams can achieve more together. Whether it’s through coaching, training, or workshops, my goal is simple: to turn misalignment into momentum. If you’ve ever felt like your teams are pulling in different directions, let’s talk. Alignment changes everything. #RevenueStrategy #HospitalityLeadership #TeamAlignment #CoachingForSuccess #HospitalityGrowth

The Buzzword Killer: Understanding the Real Speed to Market in Decision Making In the world of revenue management, "Speed to Market" is tossed around like it's the solution to everything. But what does it really (?!?!?!) mean and why does it matter? Imagine your hotel is facing a sudden drop in bookings. You come up with a new promotional strategy, but it takes weeks to implement. Is that too slow? What about a month? Before you start panicking, consider this: If implementing your strategy within a day secures an additional 150 bookings, your overall revenue and market presence increase, even if you had to rush and incur extra costs. The key takeaway: Speed to Market isn’t just about rushing decisions or actions. It’s about timing and efficiency, in rooms, F&B, or any other department. In scenarios like sudden dips in occupancy, swift decision-making can be a strategic move to boost your bottom line. Acting quickly can be the difference between capitalizing on opportunities and missing out. In scenarios where you want to fundamentally change your business mix you might argue to take your time to "weigh all the options" but in reality you are losing time to experiment. Fabi advice: Forget the buzzwords. Focus on strategy. Understand when to leverage rapid decision-making for greater revenue and profit, even if it means higher initial efforts. That's real revenue management. Think of it this way: Perfect is the enemy of good! Screw perfect! #revenuemanagement #success #leadership

While tourism is booming again, something's not quite clicking with your sales team. Your reps are working hard, but they're struggling to adapt to how dramatically buying behaviors have shifted. Are you discovering or qualifying? You should be doing both! In the hospitality industry, it is often just referred to as the qualification process. 🚩 And most sellers do just that… 👉 But, consider the difference: Qualify - to be entitled to a particular benefit or privilege by fulfilling a necessary condition. Discovery - the act of process of seeing, finding or gaining knowledge of something previously unknown. This is what many traditional sales training and methodologies get wrong. Sure, leads should be qualified or you'd be wasting your time chasing customers that aren't a good fit/match for your solution. But, ⚠️ We're often more focused on whether it’s a good business decision for the hotel. Both are important! ...and necessary! Discovery is meant to be about the buyer's primary needs. Qualifying is about the businesses needs and the customer's ability to buy. Change the mindset and you can change the outcome. #hotelsales #hotelindustry #hospitalityindustry #hospitalityleadership #hospitalityleaders #hospitalitysales #salesleadership #leadershipdevelopment #travelandtourism #hospitalitymanagement #luxuryhospitality #hospitalitytrends #hotelmarketing #hospitalitymarketing
