Ahead of New Year… spare a thought for the corks! As you prepare for one of the biggest parties of the year, we think it's fair to say that it might include a drop of fizz. It’s estimated that we Brits consume about 9 million litres of fizzy wine over New Year. To put it another way, that's 12 million corks popped! We hope that you'll choose a sparkling wine produced in England or Wales. As you celebrate, give a thought to the ‘bouchon’ as you send it spiralling into the air! We’ve got a cork to suit all types. Our CS Cuvee 0+2, CS Cuvee 0+1, Vinc Cuvee CS and Cuvee Micro all have different constructions, and qualities to suit all requirements. With options for a variety of aging periods, pressure and levels of carbonation, you can see why they're so pop-ular. Enjoy a sparkling end to the year! #RankinCork #SpareAThoughtForTheCorks #NewYearCelebrations #PopTheCork #BritishSparklingWine #RaiseAGlass #CheersToTheNewYear #CorkIndustry #SustainableCork #WineLovers #SparklingWineEssentials #CelebrateResponsibly

Strong writing can entice people to shrug at low production value.
Cape May is a state of mind but also a place and it’s a beer, too. This is from a campaign made with friends at Canales & Co. currently storming the beaches of the Jersey Shore. It's for fans of sunny days, cold beers and extended run-on sentences.

Sitting here, sipping on my morning coffee and embarking on another day's work for Newhall Publishing, I'm parsing some of the key ingredients that are good/successful indicators - at least to me - that you are in the right place, and doing the right type, of work for you... Talent - You must be good at what you do - (and I think that I am? 😅 ). This one may seem obvious/irrelevant, but with things like imposter syndrome, and when you start out in a newly-created role as a Junior, you can - and do - definitely doubt yourself, so recognition of your abilities is important! Growth Potential - I have been particularly grateful to my team in Editorial, and my line manager, as I have been receiving more responsibilities and projects; the unspoken assumption from this being that they increasingly trust my abilities, (from when I started with them > 2 years ago), and there’s been an indication that growth within my role in the business is on the cards! This is huge for me, as you have to be able to see development happening, because you don't want to feel stagnant within a position! Enjoyment - You must enjoy the work you do - and feel motivated by it - otherwise, what's the point? Yes, you may be able to just plough through and produce something, but in order to do so with the level of meticulous care, detail and quality which goes into all of our publications at Newhall, it requires genuine passion, commitment and interest. This is also why the diversity of our client portfolio works so well for me personally, as the variety keeps me stimulated! People/Environment - Something I regularly say when discussing the workforce - "the people make the job!" I stand by this & feel I always will. I feed off of the energy within my environment, so feeling supported, accepted & encouraged within a positive surrounding is key to both my professional success and personal wellbeing. Feeling like my work has been/is being recognised, acknowledged and appreciated is also massive! I am a people person too - I love meeting and connecting with new individuals whenever & wherever possible - so, being within publishing, I hope that I can have more opportunities to network across the various fields of work! All of this may seem a little loosely connected to the great post I'm resharing from Jack, but it's actually what spurred me on to write these thoughts - because I feel like he has singlehandedly provided an example of all of the factors that to me are key to feeling good/sure about your work... - He's reassured me that I'm good at what I do, by personally acknowledging my work; - We connected for my work pertaining to something I enjoy - coffee! (Coffee House Magazine); - He's one example of great people I'll hopefully continue being able to meet via networking & events, as others' passion for their work helps my passion for my own work to grow exponentially; - The resultant positive impact of my piece should hopefully indicate my own growth potential!
"There was a new buzz in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle on the weekend of April 27-28 as coffee machines whirred to life with roasters, brewers, and importers preparing for the city’s first-ever coffee festival." Brilliant article in Coffee House Mag this month by Olivia Wilkinson! I had an amazing time celebrating all things coffee and meeting so many passionate individuals within the community who are dedicated to inspiring, growing, and improving the specialty coffee scene in Liverpool!
