How is it still possible?🤯 #recruitment Most candidates still say that they don't get any reply after sending their application and most recruiters and hiring managers say that they give feedback to every single candidate. Yes, you're right. I haven't done a massive research to validate this in depth. However, this is a topic that comes up during pretty much every recruitment training that I have held over the years. And based on those discussions - the math doesn't make sense. I'm advocating for meaningful candidate #feedback during my trainings and in our own #recruitmentprocess. It's the smallest act of personal approach, respect and gratitude that everyone can offer to all candidates or potential candidates as a return for the time and effort they put in YOUR goal to find the right person for the role. And if you don't feel comfortable giving real and meaningful feedback to your candidates - especially the most difficult ones - then maybe my upcoming recruitment academy module is just the thing you need. 💡 Join me for the meaningful candidate feedback workshop on May 30th.🙌 Let's take your candidates' experience to a whole new level. Let me know if I should count you in!🙃 ✉️ helen@smartful.ee 📱 55617100

🌟 Stoic Saturday Reflection 🌟 In the realm of recruitment, where decisions are often made amidst a myriad of emotions and interactions, it's essential to embrace wisdom that fosters sound judgement and composure. As we navigate the dynamic landscape of evaluating character, we're reminded of a timeless insight from the Stoic philosopher Seneca: "The best answer to anger is silence. It allows time to consider one's options and to keep one's composure." In the fast-paced world of talent acquisition, where every interaction counts, this wisdom resonates profoundly. Character assessment goes beyond mere qualifications; it delves into the essence of an individual—their temperament, resilience, and ability to navigate challenges with grace. Silence isn't merely the absence of noise; it's a deliberate choice, affording us the space to observe, reflect, and discern the true essence of those we encounter. In the silence, amidst the clamour of emotions, lies the opportunity for clarity. It gives us the chance to evaluate not only what is said but also what remains unsaid—the nuances of demeanour, the subtleties of reaction—that speak volumes about one's character. At KCAPeople, we understand the significance of character assessment in building robust, harmonious teams. By embracing the wisdom of silence, we empower ourselves to make discerning decisions, guided not by impulse but by insight. Today, as we reflect on Seneca's words, let us embrace the power of silence in our recruitment and pause, observe and discern with clarity. For in the silence, we may find the wisdom that shapes not only our teams but also our collective success. #StoicSaturday #RecruitmentWisdom #CharacterAssessment #KCAPeople

There was a time when I was chosen by companies... and I felt fortunate and flattered by that. After spending many pairs of shoes on the corporate road, I became extremely selective before joining an organization. You know the end of that job interview when they ask you: do you have questions for me? I've always answered: yes, just one... what is your organization's BHAG? I usually hear back... B what?? BHAG, or Big Hairy Audacious Goal, is a term coined by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras in their book "Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies." It is a long-term, overarching goal that is both inspiring and challenging, giving a striking and motivating vision for where an organization wants to go. On the other hand, IKIGAI is a Japanese concept that involves four essentials: what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. It provides a discovering purpose and fulfillment in life, by harmonizing passion, vocation, mission, and profession. Once I know the company's BHAG, then I can confront it with my own BHAG and IKIGAI to see if there's a perfect alignment. Together, BHAG & IKIGAI create a powerful and meaningful framework for personal and organizational growth. So, if you can align these two elements you won't need to work anymore in life.

Sara AIT OUISSADENE beautifully captures the essence of who we are at LionConsulting. We see beyond the surface, recognizing the vast potential within each individual. Just like a single drop holds the power of the entire ocean, every candidate, employer, and partner holds a universe of experience, skills, and perspectives. ️ Let's unlock your ocean of potential together! ➡️ https://lionconsulting.ma
"You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the entire ocean in a drop." - Jalal Eddin Mohamed Rumi One of my favorite quotes. Picture yourself standing at the edge of the shore, observing, the vastness of the ocean . A tiny drop of water might seem insignificant, without importance. But not in Rumi’s eyes; he urges us to look deeper beyond surface appearance. The ocean contains countless drops, and that’s exactly the case for people. Each of us contains within ourselves a universe of potential, depth, complexity, emotions, and experiences that contribute to the vastness of our inner world. At Lion Consulting, our approach aligns with the vision of Rumi. We understand that within each person - a candidate looking for employment, an employer seeking talent, a partner we collaborate with - there is an entire ocean of experience, cultural background, generational influence, and a diversity of soft and hard skills that shape their personality. As an HR Consultant, I understand that behind every resume, every interview, every interaction, there is a rich life full of emotional, spiritual, and physical experiences that I not only feel pleasure in exploring but, most importantly, learning from. By embracing Rumi's vision, we create an environment where each of you feels valued, understood, and, most importantly, empowered, no matter where you're coming from or where you're going to ;)

A while back, I heard about a candidate’s experience with a large Swedish organization that got me thinking. The candidate had the right qualifications and experience, advanced through the process, and was asked to complete a personality test and a logical reasoning assessment. All seemed routine - until the feedback arrived. While she seemed to have a reasonably good result in relation to the role, she was informed she didn’t fit ”the company profile”. It became clear that the assessments weren’t tailored to a specific job analysis or the actual demands of the role which I thought was strange. One personality doesn’t fit all roles. So why should one profile fit all jobs within a company? Naturally, the feedback was discouraging. It’s a reminder of how frustrating it can be when a hiring process feels rigid and impersonal. And listening to the comments, she wasn’t planning to apply again anytime soon. 😬 Here are a few adjustments to, in my opinion, improve and make the process more smooth: ✅ Base assessments on a thorough job analysis including critical competencies for the role. ✅ Be transparent with candidates upfront about how and why assessments will be used in the decision-making process. ✅ Provide clear and constructive feedback to give candidates closure and help them grow. ✅ Encourage all candidates to keep applying - remind them that a low score isn’t the end of the road. ✅ Recognize that nothing is set in stone - both organizations and roles evolve over time. ✅ Consider lowering cut-off scores if needed to ensure a more inclusive hiring process that allows a diverse range of candidates to reach the final interviews. Happy Friday folks! ⭐️🍂

Why do I believe in a concept that doesn't even have a single scientific explanation? My logical understanding of the manifestation or law of attraction 👇 1. Increasing probability: By constantly believing in our goals, we increase the probability of noticing opportunities that will take us there. It can be an event, a person, a job interview, etc. Vice-versa, we also get noticed by the right audience. 2. Enhanced Motivation: When we strongly believe that we are on the way to success by visualising and positively affirming, we tend to put more effort into making it possible with higher motivation and confidence, taking us closer to our deserved place. 3. Factual Confirmation: We tend to look out for things that confirm our beliefs. For me, it has been successful people who were in my shoes before. Looking at their success, my belief becomes stronger. Sometimes, it could be a fact or news that we come across. Though there is no scientific proof to argue for the manifestation process, when we actively manifest, subconsciously we tend to pay more attention to positive developments related to our goal. I hope that is what we need at the end of the day.
