The reason for signing up on LinkedIn is over!! Almost 2 and a half years ago, I joined LinkedIn because I wanted to join the M.Sc. Data Science program at DAIICT. For me, it was a dream college because, for some reason, I was not able to join engineering and joined B.Sc. Mathematics near my home. I started connecting with students from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and also connected with some professors. I wanted some guidance as there is an entrance test to get admission to an M.Sc. data science course. I was studying mathematics, and in the entrance test, there were sections of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and aptitude. I was confident about the mathematics and aptitude parts, but I had to prepare for statistics and computer science. Alongside my college curriculum, I started learning from YouTube channels and books suggested by them. In between, I also got distracted and prepared for other entrances. I felt jealous of other students from my college as they were not doing anything, while I was engaged in activities that would help me in my future. But this feeling did not last long. On 25th July, I got the result and guess what!! I got 20th rank. There are 60 seats so my admission was confirmed. For some, this is just an admission. But when you think about something 2-3 years ago and now you are going to live, it feels different. I am very much thankful to my connections who helped me reach here. Sometimes manifestation works like this. You are thinking about a goal but also working to make it real.

😍 Today it is time for some female support 🫶🏻 We still have Open Campus Week at Maven Analytics which means you can get into data and start learning today - for free as long as open campus is running. And the greatest gift you can give to the community is showing support for the effort they make and check out the portfolios and 💛 leave a like if you like what you see! (You will need a Maven account to do so - but as you should have one anyway, because it is a great learning ressource, this is not a big deal and if you don't have one you can create one for free!) ➡ So now I could paste the link to my portfolio here. But as there was already Abhilasha Narasimhan ranking first until the guys developed some strategies ( posting in user groups or having different versions of the same projects 😅) maybe you want to support her - as she is putting constantly a lot of effort into learning and sharing her journey! She really deserves some appreciation for the hard work! So here comes the link: https://lnkd.in/dmPfiatn Thanks Chris Dutton for the push 😊 Sometimes we need to leave our comfort zones. I know that you had in mind to market myself. 🙈 but I can do that the other 364 days in the year! #mavenopencampus2024 What I want to add: Votes are only fun if they are won in the community. Geting a lot of votes by posting in user groups may seem to be a super smart move. But if this is the spirit - it's not fun and slowly I am loosing faith in people. And what sucks also is the people just copy projects in their portfolios 1:1 and don’t even mention the source. yesterday we have seen 5! cases of that! This is no gentlemens delict - it sucks! And there is also no excuse like "inspired" when you copy 1:1! It's just not your work! And I will also no more discuss with people if the credit was given somewhere else. When you publish something and it is not your work - you have to credit the author everytime! That easy. If you want to make less look more it's your choice - but don't be surprised if people don't like that and won't respect your work! And what is also super audacious- writing me a message to find out how the vote works. And kind how I am I am answering and then I find out that this is just used to manipulate the vote in a better way. We are really a helpful community - but somewhere there is a limit. And lately people are really audacious.

As R newbie, I have been able to successfully concluded the INTRO to R course and I’ve now proceeded onto the next which is INTERMEDIATE R. Having begun this, I understand better and relate more with it than Intro to R. R is a more relatable language that is being applied in our everyday life’s endeavors. In Intermediate R, we’ll get to discuss a little about “Relational Operators” as it relates to “Vectors”. Relational operators, or comparators, are operators which help us see how one R object relates to another. Let’s take a look at this example👇🏻 Suppose you have recorded the daily number of views your LinkedIn profile had the previous week and stored them in a vector, LinkedIn. If we want to find out on which days the number of views exceeded 10, we can directly use the greater than sign. 👇🏻 linkedin <- c(16, 9, 13, 5, 2, 17, 14) —Num of views linkedin 16 9 13 5 2 17 14 linkedin > 10 TRUE FALSE TRUE FALSE FALSE TRUE TRUE You notice that for the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th elements in the vector, the number of views is greater than 10, so for these elements the results will be TRUE. That is, we see that 16 is greater than 10, 13 greater than 10 and so is 17 and 14. Special thanks to Ingressive For Good and DataCamp for this opportunity. It’s been worth while. #100daysoflearningwithI4G #I4GDataCamp #DataScience #IntermediateR #Risalwayscasesensitive #Techgirlies #Shecodeafrica #StandUp

Hello everyone, this is my first week in Digital Skola. Sharing my latest journey in becoming a data scientist with you all! The past week at Digital Skola has been an enlightening experience. From delving into the depths of Data Science to learnign the concepts of DBMS, ERD, and SQL, each lesson has been a revelation. Connecting the coursework with my personal experiences has been fascinating. It's incredible how seamlessly the principles of data science are applied in real-life scenarios, shaping my understanding and perspective profoundly. As a former tour guide, I often interacted with diverse individuals with different backgrounds and preferences. In managing tours and customizing the experiences for tourists, I indirectly utilized data science principles. For instance, when determining the most popular tour routes for tourist groups, I would collect data on their interests and preferences through surveys or direct observations. Then, by analyzing this data, I could identify specific patterns and decide on the most suitable tour routes to meet their needs. Principles like data analysis, data-driven decision-making, and user behavior modeling indirectly aided me in planning and managing successful tours. One particular highlight was exploring the world of SQL queries. Crafting queries felt like solving puzzles, each one revealing new insights and opportunities. It's astonishing how a few lines of code can uncover hidden patterns and trends within datasets. Reflecting on this journey, I'm grateful for the exceptional learning environment provided by Digital Skola. The quality of instruction and depth of resources truly exceeded my expectations. Curious to learn more? Delve deeper into my journey by checking out my slides! #DigitalSkola #LearningProgressReview #DataScience
