Since I entered Canada, every dollar I’ve earned has come from working in sales. Below are 10 things I’ve learned about sales that most people won’t tell you: 1. The top salesperson on a team is rarely the most skilled. They simply want it more and outwork everyone else. 2. A strong sales culture can make or break a team. 3. If you’re looking for an easy job with guaranteed pay, sales isn’t for you. But if you’re willing to bet on yourself, hone your skills, and fully commit, you can make more money than you ever imagined. 4. Focus on the leaderboard. Beat everyone else, and the money will follow. This is why athletes and competitive people often excel in sales. 5. Someone can teach you how to sell, but they can’t give you the hunger. You have to bring that yourself. 6. If you’re in a slump and just hoping next week or next quarter you will magically get better, think again. Something in your process needs fixing—self-reflect, review, and make the necessary adjustments. 7. Consistency is more valuable than breaking records. 8. From a management perspective, KPIs and numbers are important to track. But the biggest misconception is thinking the person with the highest close rate is the best salesperson. The best salesperson is the one who makes the most money. 9. You can’t control whether someone buys or not. Some will, some won’t—it’s that simple. You can give the best presentation of your life, ask all the perfect questions, hit all their pain points, objection handle beautifully and still not close the deal. Conversely, you could show up tired, fumble through your words, and still land a sale. Detach emotionally from the outcome. Attach yourself to the actions, focus on your process, frameworks, and presentation—be great at what you do, and the sales will follow. Always strive to improve. If you’re not growing, you’re dying. Bonus 10: Sales is the transference of energy. Speak with conviction always. #SalesSkills #SalesExcellence #SalesLeadership #SalesStrategy #SalesTraining #SalesTips #SellingTechniques #B2BSales #SalesSuccess #SalesPerformance #CustomerEngagement #SalesGrowth #SalesMotivation #SalesDevelopment #ClosingDeals

Behind the Glamour: The Reality of Sales Travel In the realm of sales, there's a common perception that traveling for work is glamorous and exhilarating. From the outside, it may seem like we're living the dream—jet-setting to exotic locations, wining and dining clients, and sealing deals in picturesque settings. But let's peel back the curtain for a moment and shed light on the reality behind the glamour. Yes, traveling for work can be exciting, but it's also incredibly demanding and exhausting. The long hours spent in airports, the endless stream of meetings and presentations, and the constant pressure to perform can take a toll on even the most seasoned sales professionals. Behind every successful business trip lies a mountain of preparation and organization. From meticulously planning itineraries to managing countless emails and phone calls on the go, the workload is relentless. And let's not forget about the sacrifices made on the personal front—missed family gatherings, birthdays celebrated in hotel rooms, and the constant struggle to maintain a semblance of work-life balance. Moreover, the constant hustle and bustle of travel can lead to burnout and isolation. Spending days or weeks away from home, living out of a suitcase, and navigating unfamiliar cities can wear down even the most resilient individuals. It's a lifestyle that requires resilience, adaptability, and a relentless drive to succeed. Yet, amidst the glamour and the grind, there's another challenge that sales professionals face—the misconception perpetuated by those in the ivory tower. To them, selling may seem like a breeze, a simple matter of numbers and quotas. But the reality is far more complex. It's about building relationships, understanding clients' needs, and navigating intricate decision-making processes. So, the next time you see a sales professional jetting off to another destination, remember that there's more to the story than meets the eye. Behind the polished facade lies a dedicated individual working tirelessly to meet targets, exceed expectations, and drive business growth. It's not always glamorous, but it's a testament to the grit and determination of those who choose to pursue a career in sales. Let's shine a light on the reality behind the glamour and recognize the hard work and dedication of sales professionals everywhere. #SalesLife #BehindTheScenes #WorkTravelReality

Hiring the wrong real estate agent can ruin your team's dynamic and harm your business! Here are 5 reasons why hiring the right real estate agent is so important in the real estate sector: 🟢 Boosted Team Spirit 🔸 A great fit leads to better communication, stronger professional relationships, and an overall positive atmosphere, which is critical in the real estate business. 🟢 Increased Productivity 🔸 When everyone in the real estate team is on the same wavelength, collaboration flows smoother, and tasks—whether sales or client follow-ups—get done more efficiently. 🟢 Shared Goals and Values 🔸 When your real estate agents share the same goals and values, they work harder and stay motivated. This alignment is key to achieving success together in the highly competitive real estate market. 🟢 Enhanced Creativity 🔸 A well-aligned team can brainstorm and innovate effectively, leading to creative solutions that benefit the entire real estate agency and, most importantly, your clients. 🟢 Lower Turnover Rates 🔸 A positive work environment within your real estate agency fosters loyalty, reducing turnover. This saves your business time and money in the long run and ensures that your client relationships are consistently nurtured by familiar, trusted agents. In my opinion: → Hiring the right real estate agents is essential for a thriving real estate business, so take the time to find those who truly match your team’s vibe and company culture. → Remember, you're building a productive real estate team, not a chaotic environment where agents clash! The right agents will drive success, not just for themselves but for your entire real estate company. #iconpropertygroup #JoinTheIconMovement
