A question for Cataract Surgeons: As you arrive to clinic and look at a full day's schedule (lets say that is 15+ cataract evaluations), do you have to mentally prepare yourself for the ~150 minutes of cataract education you'll be doing that day? Would you feel differently if you walked in to the lane for the first patient and saw a note like this waiting for you in your EMR (picture below)? When you can feel confident that your patient has received a consistent, comprehensive education you can save time in the lane while also benefiting from patients that are more likely to select a premium procedure that fits their lifestyle goals.

Kicking off another transformative All-On-X program! Today, we started the first clinical morning by reviewing the CBCT scans and treatment plans for the patients scheduled for the day. After an intensive day of didactic lectures, each surgeon will now perform between four and five full-arch All-On-X surgeries over the next three surgical days. Every surgeon is performing two surgeries per day, resulting in a total of 4-5 full arches per surgeon. What makes this program truly special is that we are able to provide these life-changing procedures at absolutely NO COST to the patients. 🙏🏻 Not only do our participants gain unparalleled hands-on surgical experience, but they also make a meaningful impact in the lives of these patients by performing their surgeries AND delivering their prosthetics - and giving them a new lease on life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great way to combine top-tier surgical training with a positive social impact. #AllOnX #DentalImplants #LiveSurgery #CBCTReview #HandsOnTraining #Prosthetics #PatientCare

🧠 At ECAMS, No Question is Too Basic or Crazy! 🧠 We understand that every surgeon comes from different backgrounds and skill levels, and at ECAMS, we embrace that. Our faculty uses visual aids, markings, and simple concepts to ensure everyone grasps the techniques, no matter where they’re starting from. In our small group settings, every surgeon is paired to work on their own specimen, giving them hands-on experience. From facelift to necklift techniques, we teach a range of approaches, so you can choose what’s right for you—or build a toolkit of techniques to serve your diverse patient base. Because we know that one size doesn’t fit all. At ECAMS, we don’t discriminate based on skill set. Our focus is on teaching safe and effective techniques that make you a better, more adaptable surgeon. 📅 Next course: Nov 6th 2024 in Italy. 📲 SMS or WhatsApp: +353-87-4673993 #ECAMS #SurgicalTraining #ecamstraining #FaceliftTechniques #NeckliftTraining #SurgeonsOfInstagram #SafeSurgery #HandsOnTraining #AestheticMedicine #SurgicalExcellence #LifelongLearning Danilo De Gregorio

This is always a bit comical and a bit sad. My case was booked as “knee scope” when it is actually a knee scope with an anterior medializing and distalizing tubercle osteotomy with MPFL recon with allograft and lateral lengthening. Adding all that is needed for surgery consumes an entire back table and takes considerable daily hustle, which can lead to delays. I keep my preference cards posted on my website under the Knee Deep section (please create a hyperlink to the website) so that a reasonably accurate card is technically available to anyone for my cases at any time. They are a little outdated, and it’s challenging since every hospital and EMR seems to have different systems for storing preference cards. So, a change at one facility does not always populate to others where I work. I have learned that some EMRs do not allow you to pull a PDF file to share elsewhere. Ultimately, this generates a lot of medical waste, including opening the wrong items and wasting time getting the right equipment. Technology can help us solve this issue. https://lnkd.in/giBW2Edz
