🌟 Honoring the Unseen Heroes: The Legacy of Military Children 🌟 These young heroes grow up in a world that's constantly changing, with challenges that many of us can only imagine. Yet, their strength, adaptability, and sense of duty are nothing short of inspiring. Research and anecdotes alike tell us that children of military personnel are significantly more likely to follow in their parents' footsteps and serve their country. This isn't merely a coincidence; it's the result of a unique upbringing that instills values such as loyalty, honor, and a profound sense of service from a very young age. Military children witness firsthand the sacrifices made for national security and are imbued with a deep understanding of what it means to commit to a cause greater than oneself. By supporting USA Cares, you can help keep these military-connected children safe remain safe and with their families. Join us in changes lives by donating today. Many of us leave the Armed Forces feeling like we are unscathed and have everything under control - only for things to unravel over time. Life in the military is clear cut, it's organised, there is a rank structure and protocols to follow - and often it is this routine and sense of order that keeps someone on track. When leaving the military through choice it can be hard to adapt to the change of routine and structure - so when having to leave not through your own choice it can be even harder to adjust. Sometimes Veterans just need a little guidance to help get things in place to make life a little easier, but often there are various support strategies needed to help a Veteran back on track - this is why SWV has more than one support pathway on offer. To find out more please click on the link below, or get in touch... https://lnkd.in/ebr7cFKH To donate- Text VETERANS to 70470 to donate £10 Or VETERANS20 to donate £20 Texts cost the chosen donation amount plus one standard network rate message

Join the #Day4Defenders initiative and come to work on October 1st to support our defenders! The goal of the initiative is to raise additional funds for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. 📌 How does it work? On October 1st, Defender of Ukraine Day, invite your employees to come to work, and donate all the earned money to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. If October 1st is a working day in your company, the "1991" and "Where Hope Lives" funds invite you to donate your daily revenue/gross profit (depending on your capabilities) to the military. This is the best way to say a warm "thank you" to our soldiers. The organizers will use the raised funds to purchase off-road vehicles for the military. All the details of the initiative are available on the fund's page. 12 companies have already joined #Day4Defenders - you can easily become the next one! 📌 How to get your company involved? Contact @1991_fund (Instagram), Благодійний Фонд 1991 / 1991 Charity Fund (Fb) or 1991 Charity Fund (Linkedin) More companies - more donations - more help for our military!

GOLD BEACH Gold Beach is 1st of 2, of D-Day beaches to be led by the British and was situated between Port-en-Bessin and Ver-sur-Mer the central most area of the D-Day invasion. The objectives of Gold were to secure a beachhead, capture Arromanches to link with American troops at Omaha and to capture Bayeux to link up with Canadian troops from Juno. Similar to Omaha, Gold beach was split into 2 components, an ariel and naval bombardment to clear German defences and an Infantry landing to capture the beach. In contrast to Omaha, the bombardments were highly effective in wiping out most of the German defences. The navel bombardments from HMS Ajax and HMS Argonaut proved to be extremely effectively providing pinpoint accuracy to take out 3 of the 4 artillery emplacements. Infantry landing commenced nearly an hour after the American landings due to different tides. Rough seas made it tricky for Infantry landing craft, resulting in 20 of them being sunk or damaged by mines, however this did not slow British troops much as within an hour they had secured beach exits to push further inland and by days end they had completed their objective.

This weekend I saw a lot businesses posting "Happy Memorial Day!" content. "Come out to Rudy's Bar and celebrate the long holiday weekend with us, we're selling $5 orange crushes all day long!" Memorial Day is to remember the hundreds of thousands of military members who gave the ultimate sacrifice and never came home to their families. Asking people to come to your restaurant to "celebrate the holiday" feels really wrong for Memorial Day. Are we forgetting what it's really about? Here are a few ways you can post on social or email your customers about Memorial Day that honors the military members and their families: 1. Share a link to an organization that helps families of fallen soldiers asking for donations, like the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation 2. Donate 10% of your proceeds on Memorial Day to a reputable organization like the Wounded Warrior Project 3. Highlight a veteran who works at your company and thank them for their service 4. Offer a 20% discount to all active military members to thank them for their service 5. Be like Born Primitive (pictured below) and don't ask anything of your customers, simply post about Memorial Day in a way that honors the fallen. They also shared a really great video on their Instagram and Facebook pages to remind everyone of the true meaning of Memorial Day. Please take a moment to watch it, I'll link it in the comments. #MemorialDay #Military #HonorTheFallen
