Without the right conditions then you leave yourself open to potential long term legacy problems, even possible latent defects. These guidance notes are important regarding the need of adequate heating on site, this is required by manufacturers for their warranties as well as being best practice and meeting British standards. In this Part 1 of guidance and best practice, we would like to bring to your attention, “that of heat and light”, extracted from the Contract Flooring Associations (CFA); “Guide to Contract Flooring”: ROOM TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY AND LIGHTING BS 5325, BS 8203, BS 8204 and BS 8425 advise that for the installation of most floorings, a steady work area temperature of between 18°C to 27°C should be maintained throughout the period of the installation of the flooring. They also advise that this temperature should be attained 48 hours prior to the installation and 24 hours post installation.

How to proceed if it’s raining into the house: Before tearing down the entire flat roof and starting anew, you should take the following steps: 1. Check the drainage on the roof terrace to see if it’s watertight. For this, use a blocking balloon to seal the pipe and then let water accumulate in it. If no water leaks, the pipe is sealed. If the piping leaks, a partial repair of the pipe is often sufficient. 2. Contrast dye test: To determine whether the waterproofing is leaking across the entire area or only in a specific section, such as a planter, you should mark the areas with contrast dye. For instance, color the flat area in RED and the planter in GREEN. The color that shows up in the house will indicate the source of the leak. 3. Depending on where the leak is located, a partial repair or complete renovation may make sense. 4. Be aware that companies do not provide warranties for partial repairs. For a complete renovation, you should secure a written ten-year warranty. Otherwise, in Spain, you typically only have a warranty period of two, at most three, years. #surveyors #constructionassessments #Mallorca #Gingerich #constructionmanagement #project_and_construction_management
