This year's Turbine Forum 2024 included a Progressive Surface presentation describing our automated process for more accurately aligning a torch nozzle's robotic tool center. Using data collected from two Accuraspray 4.0 plume sensors, the robot TCP can be adjusted in seconds immediately before deposition to place coating material accurately at pre-programmed positions. Spline Gear Non-Contact Inspection The inspection setup incorporates a high-resolution camera along with specialized lightings and lenses (Hikrobot) to ensure precision. We used dome light illumination as a top light source, providing uniform lighting to enhance the visibility of surface features. A telecentric lens from Opto Engineering paired with a backlight for critical dimensions allowing us to achieve measurement accuracy within 20 microns. Our In-house machine learning software has been meticulously trained to handle various models and variations of spline gears, ensuring adaptability across product lines with customized graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI features clear indications for "OK" and "Not OK" parts, a real-time total product count, and options for data logging, enabling all inspection results to be recorded for future analysis and quality tracking
