This new framework represents the next evolution in PMO practices, rooted in the foundational insights of the original PMO Value Ring methodology. The primary goal for which the PMO Value Ring™ framework was designed is value generation. It emphasizes generating valuable effects through strong customer orientation, a trend witnessed in successful PMOs across the globe. The five key elements below were incorporated into the present framework to ensure consistent delivery of such value by PMOs: - PMO customer. At the center, we have a customer who will influence strategies and operations continuously.  - Organizational baseline elements. These elements are foundational components against which any possible application of the PMO Value Ring™ framework can be evaluated. - PMO structural components. These components form a foundation upon which successful PMOs are built, including the PMO mandate, PMO strategy, and PMO governance.  - PMO customer experience cycle. This stage consists of exploration, design, deployment, enhancement, and realization. - Value-generating PMO flywheel. At its fundamental level, the value-generating PMO flywheel breaks down the PMO customer experience cycle’s five stages into 10 steps, an action plan that enables PMO professionals to make their own PMOs successful.
