Systemic Thinking is an incredible tool for innovation in different areas. I am happy to have just completed the Systemic Thinking for Innovation course at Porto Business School.

𝐀 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬. I’m closing this chapter with my MSc in Management of Innovation from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. This period gave me the opportunity to further develop my curiosity about innovation. From a young age, I wanted to understand everything and constantly bombarded my parents with questions about how things worked. Whether it was how a light turned on or how a car's wheels rotated, I just had to know how it all fit together. That same enthusiasm led me to pursue a master’s in innovation — figuring out how things can be more efficient, especially when there's no manual to follow. It's this pioneering spirit that continues to spark my interest. During my studies, I had the opportunity to do and learn a lot, from working at IncoNed - Inkoopcombinatie Nederland on growth strategies to being an sales ambassador for STËLZ and performing (inter)nationally as a DJ for the company I founded, We Are Mamba. In addition, I learned a great deal about investing at B&R Beurs Erasmus Investment Society, which resulted in winning the investment competition. I thoroughly enjoyed my master's research on open innovation in Dutch SMEs, where I explored the challenges of knowledge sharing between collaborating parties. It was a very educational process, and I believe my insights could be valuable for companies facing these challenges. I completed this research with an 8 (out of 10). I look back with great pleasure on the positive collaboration I experienced with my supervisor, Graham Cross PhD. Now it’s time for the next step, but first, I’ll enjoy traveling through Central and South America, starting in November. Afterward, I’ll dive into new adventures in the world of innovation with full energy. It affects every single company and therefore our shared business location. It influences competitiveness and future readiness, and at the same time opens up huge new market potential. In order to meet the challenge as a company and optimally utilise the potential of the ongoing transformation, one thing is needed above all: highly qualified experts and IT specialists who are in charge of driving the implementation forward. Every company needs this expertise in-house. And this is precisely where IT:U comes in under the title ‘𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’ and thus makes an important contribution to Upper Austria as an industrial and business location. European Perspectives: Challenges and Challengers 🇪🇺 Today at ESCP Business School's Berlin campus, we had the honor of hosting Mr. Friedrich Merz and Mr. Édouard Philippe for an enlightening dialogue on "European Perspectives: Challenges and Challengers." Moderated by Mr. Jürgen Kaube, publisher at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and joined by our students and the French Tech community in Berlin, the event was a testament to the enduring Franco-German partnership at the heart of European history. The conversation was rich, revealing a genuine convergence of visions to forge a Europe united in diversity and progress together. Strengthening our bonds and cooperation through mutual respect is about deepening our understanding of one another—it builds trust. Four major themes emerged from the discussion: - Enhanced European Regulation: Empowering our European companies to be more agile and competitive, better serving the global market—not just Europe—especially regarding the mergers of French and German enterprises. - Green Energy at the Core of Future Growth: Addressing the significant increase in energy consumption anticipated from technological advancements and AI-related industries, while steadfastly pursuing the decarbonization of our economy. - A Unified Financial Market: Establishing a cohesive financial marketplace to more effectively support companies in their growth trajectories. - Strengthening Student Mobility through Erasmus: Enhancing cultural understanding by promoting student exchanges, enriching each other's perspectives. Wrapping up the final day at the HundrEDorg Innovation Summit here in Helsinki has been truly inspiring. Across these three days, we've explored transformational ideas in education, but Olli-Pekka Heinonen’s keynote on the future of schooling and humanity deeply and profoundly resonated with me. As he stated, “The final aim of education is not learning - learning is the means. The final aim of education is human development, human flourishing. So what kind of school is needed for that aim to be reached?” This question challenges us to think critically about how we prepare students for a future where cognitive skills alone aren’t enough. Heinonen pointed out that, in our fast-evolving world, students need the capacity to navigate complexity, build authentic connections, and find relevance in what they’re learning. Education’s role extends beyond academics—it’s about equipping students with skills for resilience, adaptability, and well-being. As I begin the (very) long trip home to Aotearoa New Zealand, I’m more motivated than ever to drive educational approaches that help students not only succeed but also engage meaningfully with their world. #hundrEDsummit #hundrEDglobalcollection

#𝟮 𝗨𝗡𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘: 𝗮 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 🌿 Another full day at ESCP Business School inTurin, another group of around #60 students joined the journey towards #sustainability. Today, among others, we embarked on an even deeper exploration of what it means to build a sustainable future. We challenged the students to ponder deeply on questions like: "What do I really want in terms of a sustainable future?" "Why is this important to me? "What specific actions must I take to turn these aspirations into reality?" These questions aren't just academic; they're a #calltoaction. As we navigate the complexities of sustainability, understanding our individual and collective "whys" provides a powerful motivation to act. Together, we're not just learning about sustainability – we're shaping a mindset that will drive innovative solutions for a greener, more equitable world. Expectations and insights from today's session remind us that the path to a sustainable future is both challenging and rewarding.
