Why Systemic Thinking Might Be for You Last year, we set the stage for something new at Porto Business School with our Systemic Thinking for Innovation course. What began as a pioneering initiative has now evolved into a second edition program, running from the 25th to the 27th of this month, with even more energy to drive transformative change. In a world where complexity reigns supreme, traditional innovation approaches often fall short. This course is your gateway to breaking free from conventional thinking. We’re not just rehashing old concepts; we’re diving deep into the dynamic interplay of systems that drive innovation. Participants will gain hands-on experience with tools and methodologies that empower them to dissect intricate systems, reveal hidden patterns, and seize breakthrough opportunities. As one of the first programs of its kind in Portugal, Systemic Thinking for Innovation is designed for those who dare to think differently. We are thrilled to incorporate all the lessons learned from the past few years into a program that proposes new perspectives on innovation. The program focuses primarily on: • Uncovering Hidden Layers: Learn to view business contexts from a big-picture perspective, allowing innovators to see how various components of a system interact. • Recognizing Interconnected Problems: In interconnected business landscapes, problems rarely exist in isolation. We will explore how recognizing relationships between issues can transform challenges into opportunities for innovative solutions. • Promoting Collaboration: By highlighting interdependencies within our world, systemic thinking fosters collaboration across departments and disciplines. This collective approach enhances knowledge sharing and co-creation, leading to more robust and innovative solutions. • Focusing on Sustainability: With an emphasis on sustainability, we will unfold new visions that consider long-term impacts on the environment and society. This systemic approach ensures that innovations are not only effective but also responsible and sustainable. • Planning Transitions: We will explore how to use systemic thinking as a foundation for planning and organizing transitions between the present and the future. The future is evolving too quickly and complexly to be planned linearly. Joining me in this endeavor will be Rui Quinta and Tiago Gonçalves Nunes, all driven by the ambition of Ana Jogo Mendes and Porto Business School to stay ahead of the curve. The class is big, but there’s still room for more. Secure your spot here: https://lnkd.in/dZMWtEYr. #Innovation #DisruptiveThinking #PBS #TransformativeInnovation #SystemicThinking
