As we wrap up another successful year, I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the incredible projects my team at Actiknow and I have had the privilege to work on this year. Each one showcases the breadth of our expertise and the value we aim to deliver to our clients: 🌐 Web App Development: We created a platform for an e-commerce marketplace partner that centralizes client, inventory, and operations management. Additionally, we launched an admin panel for an AI-powered trading software that enhances customer management. 📱 Mobile App Development: From a business directory app for US users to a survey app for a maritime pilots association to improve safety reporting, we’ve developed mobile solutions tailored to unique client needs. 📊 Data Analysis and Reporting: I’m especially proud of our work on data-driven tools like an AI chat platform that mines user data from inboxes and drives to deliver actionable answers. 👩💻 Remote Staffing Services: Helped several small and big organizations build reliable, time-zone-aligned remote teams for handling their operations, customer support, and data needs. One standout achievement this year was our in-house product, People Assay, a powerful 360° feedback tool that helps organizations track performance, identify gaps, and foster continuous growth. Looking back, I’m grateful for the trust our clients place in us and the collaboration that drives these achievements. Family is the foundation—the people who celebrate our wins, lift us in hard times, and remind us of what truly matters. Whether it’s a shared laugh around the dinner table or a quiet moment of connection, family keeps us anchored. Hard work is what fuels progress. It’s about showing up, staying committed, and giving your best, even when the path gets tough. Hard work builds character and, more importantly, opens the door to opportunities we never imagined. But hard work is only sustainable if it’s tied to something bigger: your “why.” Why do you strive? Why do you keep pushing forward? For me, finding my “why” has been the key to fulfillment—it’s the driving force that turns effort into passion and setbacks into lessons. Take a moment to consider your daily surroundings: Are you with supportive friends and feeling grateful? Are you in a nurturing environment that helps you grow? Or are you bogged down by self-doubt, negative thoughts, and a lack of progress? The choices we make about what we expose ourselves to have a big impact on our lives. When we connect with inspiring people, positive attitudes, and fresh ideas, we set ourselves up for great success. This is why it's important to be with people and ideas that match our values and push us to grow. Surrounding ourselves with those who uplift and challenge us helps us become our best selves. In these positive environments, our potential flourishes, and we get closer to our dreams. So, be careful about what you let into your life. It holds the key to becoming the person you aspire to be.

What I focused on during our recent family trip for Spring Break: Truly being THERE. Present with my family. There have been many times as a leader when I didn't do this well, or at least not as well as I would have liked. I've let work creep into family time, and while there's something wonderful about getting to balance BOTH as an entrepreneur, I'm more focused than ever on not missing a single moment of these fleeting moments with my wife and kids. The thing is, if we don't plan for it, it won't happen. Here are 5 things that help me plan for presence as a family man and leader: 1️⃣ Put it on the calendar where everyone can see it. 2️⃣ Add accountability by asking a trusted friend or counterpart to hold you to your commitment. 3️⃣ Have backup at work by asking someone from your team to lead things in your place. 4️⃣ Set technology appropriately with your phone on DND and an OOO email response. 5️⃣ Remember why you're doing it, what you're thankful for, and who you’re being present with. We have to intentionally be mindful of what matters most and remember that work will always be there when we get back. This will empower us to show up as a leader in every area of our lives.
