𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 Spoiler-- this is NOT one of those philosophical posts making some type of analogy between 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 and business... 😎 So ,,,,,,I recently had access to a pool for the 1st time in years and thought, I would try some of the old 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 drills that I did a few years ago, when training with group of retired Navy SEALs..(those guys).. THE DRILL--- start off with basic treading water for the 1st minute...then next, stop using your hands/arms next, bring your hands up out of the water to your wrists next, bring your hands up out of the water to your elbows last.. bring your hands up out of the water and over your head as if holding your weapon out of the water. Small detail--- keep treading water and your head above water the whole time. LMK how you did 😎 PS... you can do this either in swim gear or fully dressed post run/workout, I have done it both with sneakers and combat boots...
Think I’d drown 😉
I don’t think I could do it now but I recall in lifeguard training in high school doing things like that. Some I still can, but I’m not sure I could pull a cinder block up from the drain! I could when I was 17…
I wanted to try this until “with combat boots”😂
Sounds simple but not easy.
The only way I could do this would be with egg-beater legs. Traditional cycling legs for treading water doesn't give me enough power. (And I don't own combat boots😊)
I need to go find a pool 🙌🏼
This is easy for me, bit more challenging in ocean water, but still easy Because I'm not carrying a 60lb backpack like others have to
