Our volunteers give over 3,700 hours of their time to Recovery Cymru. That’s thousands of hours spent listening, supporting, and showing up for people when they need it most. Each hour is a moment of hope, a connection, and a step forward for someone on their recovery journey. Recovery Cymru wouldn’t exist without their kindness, and we can’t keep supporting them without yours. This week, every £1 you donate is matched through the BigGive Challenge. Your kindness helps keep our doors open and gives volunteers the resources they need to continue changing lives. Double your impact today: https://lnkd.in/eufctqs6. Our Goshen office has teamed up with the Salvation Army and we have an Angel Tree in our waiting room! 🎄 🎁 Visit us today to donate! We are always so proud to be a part of our community and give back to those who support us, every day. The Salvation Army Angel Tree is a program designed to provide Christmas gifts to children and families in need. The initiative allows individuals and organizations to participate by adopting an "angel" (a child) and purchasing gifts based on their wishes and needs. How Does An Angel Tree Work? Typically, a community partner or local organization will set up an Angel Tree, where tags representing children are displayed with their ages, genders, and gift suggestions. Donors can then take a tag, purchase the gifts, and return them to the designated location for distribution. The program helps ensure that children and families experience the joy of the holiday season, even if they are facing financial hardships. It's a way for communities to come together and support one another during the holidays. #salvationarm #angeltree #community #support #giveback #local #smallbusiness #localbusiness #supportlocal #christmas #supportsmallbusiness #GiveBack #communitysupport #doingthemostgood #AdoptanAngel #HolidayHope #SeasonOfGiving #HolidayCheer

On this #NationalDayOfServiceandRemembrance, let's honor the lives lost on 9/11 by embodying the spirit of unity and compassion that arose in its aftermath. Dedicating ourselves to serving our communities is a powerful way to pay tribute to those we lost and create a more positive future. Here are some meaningful ways you can give back: ⏩Volunteer at a Local Food Bank: Help pack meals for those in need and ensure no one goes hungry. ⏩Participate in a Community Clean-Up: Join local efforts to beautify your neighborhood and create a welcoming environment for all. ⏩Donate Blood: Consider donating blood at a local blood drive to help save lives in your community. ⏩Support a Veteran Organization: Volunteer your time or donate to organizations that support veterans and their families. ⏩Perform Random Acts of Kindness: Whether it’s paying for someone’s coffee or writing a note of appreciation, small gestures can make a big impact. Let's turn this day of remembrance into a day of action. Share your ideas for serving others in the comments below! #ServiceToOthers #HonorAndRemember #911 #NeverForget

🌟 A Powerful Reminder from Leon Guy 🌟 “I think sometimes people hesitate to help because they feel like their contribution won’t be enough. But the truth is, every small step matters. Every dollar, every item, every gesture adds up.” – Leon Guy, Facility Manager at Crossroads When you take that first step to help, no matter how small it seems, it makes a difference. 💖 🔹 Leon shared a story: someone came in and wanted to donate $10, unsure of how much it could really help. But that $10—added to others—becomes part of something much bigger. It could feed families, provide dignity to someone in need, or simply offer a moment of relief. “It's not about the size of the donation, it's about taking action. Every bit helps. And together, we create change.” At Crossroads, we see the direct impact of these small steps every day. The challenge may feel overwhelming, but every act of kindness makes a real difference. 🔹 Join us in taking that step. Whether it's a $10 donation or a few hours of your time, you can help create change. Together, we can make sure no one has to go without. https://lnkd.in/e5qDSd3S 👉 Donate today and be part of the solution. Every contribution counts. #CrossroadsCommunity #SmallActsBigImpact #GiveHope #EndingHunger #SupportOurMission #ChangingLives #FoodSecurity #DonateNow

Today, on Patriot Day, we pause to remember the events of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost and forever changed. 🇺🇸 As we reflect on this solemn day, let's consider how we can embody the spirit of unity and resilience that emerged in its aftermath: 1. Observe a moment of silence 2. Thank a first responder 3. Volunteer in your community 4. Donate blood 5. Support 9/11 charities. Organizations like the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Tuesday's Children, and the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund accept donations to support their work. 6. Attend local memorial events 7. Educate younger generations about this significant day 8. Engage in random acts of kindness. A simple gesture can make a significant impact. In remembering, we reaffirm our commitment to compassion, service, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. How will you be reflecting today? Share your thoughts or plans in the comments below. #PatriotDay #NeverForget #DayOfServiceAndRemembrance

While we are all doing our best to maintain our work-life balance and keep our personal lives personal, I think it is important to remember that the average American will spend about 1/3 of their life at work. Given that fact, I think there is a lot to be said about organizations that contribute to their employees volunteering and donation efforts which is why I figured I would share my annual fundraising efforts here with my network. In 2018, I lost my older brother, Stephen, to suicide. Since that day, I have been doing what I can to share resources, provide support and speak about the importance of Suicide Prevention and the work of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. A donation of $50 can provide suicide prevention resources to 25 people. When most organizations match their employeess' donation activity, I think it truly is crucial to share this message here with my network. While I ask you to donate, I am also acutely aware that not everyone is in a position to donate at this time. Please consider sharing within your own networks. Simply speaking about suicide prevention and letting those around you know that it is a cause you care about can truly and genuinely save someone's life. Talk Saves Lives!

Be Finally Free is actively combating the homeless epidemic in Kern County through education. Our guiding principle is encapsulated in a simple question: "How can you do something different if you don't know anything different?" This question underscores our mission to instill a new mindset in individuals. Our programs are dedicated to teaching alternative ways to respond, think, and navigate life's challenges beyond familiar patterns. By educating the homeless community, we are making a tangible impact on our local society. However, we cannot achieve this without support from individuals like you. 🎄 Introducing the Angels of Joy: Gifts for Teen's Program 🎄 This holiday season Erin's Angels of CNY is excited to launch Angels of Joy, a program designed to bring joy to teenagers in our community who are often overlooked during the holidays. While many holiday initiatives focus on young children, teens deserve to experience the same joy and magic, too! We're inviting businesses and organizations to join us in making a difference by collecting teen gifts at your workplace. By partnering with us, you can provide teens in need with thoughtful, age-appropriate gifts that will help make their holiday season brighter. Here’s how you can help: Host a Gift Collection: Encourage employees, customers, or clients to donate teen-friendly gifts—think gift cards, clothing, books, electronics, or fun hobbies. Spread the Word: Share information about the program and help us inspire others to get involved. Deliver the Love: Once your collection is complete, we’ll handle the distribution to families in need. Let’s work together to bring hope and joy to those who need it most this season. If you're interested in partnering with us or hosting a collection at your business, please reach out to learn more!
