This post falls under the topic of “Did you Know.” Did you know that, with your approval, UPS may ship your package via the United States Post Office? I just learned this by experience. I had a package to ship; it was an awkward size, so I went to a UPS store to ship the package. Sometime during the completion of the shipping documentation, I failed to see that my package may be shipped by the Post Office and not UPS. I do not recall being informed that my package would/could be shipped by the Post Office, but that was what I agreed to. This is all in the screens that we simply say “Yes” to as we send our packages. As it turns out, if you are shopping price to ship your package, the lower priced option offered by UPS may be a selection that indicates you wish to have UPS ship the package by the Post Office. Some packages will cost less to ship by the Post Office than UPS. So, when shipping UPS, if you have a preference, be sure to ask who will be transporting and delivering your package?
