When we started Educator Lab, we had a vision. A vision to connect with like-minded individuals who believed in the power of arts in education. It was a journey fueled by passion and driven by a purpose. And then, something remarkable happened. Part 6 : Today, on Teachers’ Day, it feels fitting to talk about an initiative close to all our hearts—the Lakshya inGame Academy (now Keywords inGame Academy). Twelve years ago, in 2012, we welcomed our very first batch of students, all sharing a common passion: a zeal to learn and the dream of becoming game artists. We’re glad the enthusiasm has stayed the same, if not more, amongst the students who join inGame even today. As the first of its kind in India, inGame’s programs were designed by industry veterans and taught by professionals. The framework was built with one goal in mind—to foster game production centric talent in India, ultimately opening up more opportunities for people to enter the industry. As our CEO Manvendra Shukul often said, “It’s about redefining the paradigm of education, especially when it comes to game art as a career.” Looking back at this 2015 photograph from our Gurgaon studio, we can’t help but reflect on the greatest treasure of this journey—the people who’ve been part of it.
