Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, nearly half the states have either legalized abortion or expanded access to it. An additional strategy besides the legal and political one is clearly necessary. Abortion is still highly accessible throughout the country, no matter in what state a woman lives. Either abortion is legal in her state, or she can travel to a nearby state where it is legal, or she can order the abortion pill through the mail. So what is the additional strategy that must be employed by the prolife movement? A clear focus on the woman. Her problem. Her fears. Her preferences. The woman is the ultimate decision maker and therefore must be the focus of the effort to reduce abortions. Through attractive marketing directed exclusively to her, Heroic Media is living out the strategy of focusing on the woman to save lives.

She couldn't get an abortion. Now she has a child. Soon, she will start her 7th Grade… Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June 2022, countless women and girls have suffered a similar fate. According to a new study published in the medical journal JAMA, rape resulted in 64,565 pregnancies in 14 US states that endorse near-total abortion bans. Although some of these states showcase an exception to the ban in case of rape, the implementation is poor, as less than 10 legal abortions per month were reported in these states. Of these pregnancies, 58,979 occurred in states with zero exception for rape. Many of the women that become mothers do not have the resources or the capacity to fulfill the role of a mother while many of the children that are born are often put up for adoption. Asking women to give birth to a child conceived through rape inflicts mental trauma on the victim while also violating human rights. Abortion rights need to be made more flexible in the US. If not, we will be damaging the health of many more young girls. LinkedIn #abortions #womenrights #humanrights #justice #humanity #roevwade

Pro-abortion groups are targeting Michigan’s parental consent for abortion regulations — one of the few remaining pro-life laws on the books in the state. Currently, if a minor seeks to have an abortion in Michigan, they must obtain either parental consent or a judicial bypass to abort their baby. This law can serve as a protective barrier against abuse and human trafficking in some cases, but the abortion industry isn’t concerned with the safety of minors — they are focused on destroying preborn life and making a profit from it. Parents should be involved in the life-changing decisions their minor children make. The abortion industry has no right to usurp the position of a mother or father in guiding the choices their children make. The preborn have a right to be protected from violence. Striking down parental consent laws for abortion will only lead to more minors and unborn babies being harmed.

Your vote is not enough. The United States is living out The Handmaid's Tale in real time. Under the new Louisiana bill, pregnant women who obtain the medication for their own use would be exempt from criminal liability. But friends or family who help them get the pills and non-pregnant women who obtain them as a precaution could face criminal penalties for possession. Abortion is illegal in LA except when the mother's life is in danger, or the fetus has a fatal abnormality. You will need to vote and ensure you are registered to vote and support candidates in your state and federally who support reproductive rights for all people. They won't be stopping at abortion. They have already come after IVF and next is contraception. We do not belong to the State or any religious group or people. Separation of Church and State is a founding principle of our country. We have guaranteed rights under the constitution, and we must vote to protect The Democracy. #abortionishealthcare #womenshealth #reproductivejustice #reproductiverights #wewontgoback https://lnkd.in/ephpYrXT

👏 Thank g-d for #ballotinitiatves 🙏 Thank you to The Washington Post for highlighting this story and the opportunity to share my perspective on ensuring #equitable access to #telehealth for #medicationabortion based on my #policy work at RHITES (Reproductive Health Initiative for Telehealth Equity & Solutions) ⭐ From the article: “Enshrining fundamental rights to abortion and forbidding a state from infringing upon that right is the first step in removing unnecessary barriers to equitable care,” noted Natalie Birnbaum, state legal and policy director at RHITES. “The ballot initiatives really pave the way.” 🛣️ As we brace for the unknown harms ahead and prepare to continue this old-new fight, I find solace in knowing that when #abortion is directly* presented to the people, the people vote to protect it. 🙌 Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, and New York all successfully passed ballot measures to protect abortion access in their states on November 5th. 💌 The message from both #conservative, #moderate, and #liberal states is that a majority of voters, regardless of party, do not support laws banning or restricting abortion care. 🇺🇲 Let's hold our future administration accountable to the people and ensure #abortionaccess is protected with vigilance *FL's ballot initiative did not pass, nor was the issue "directly" or accurately presented to voters on the ballot (South Dakota and Nebraska also did not pass their ballot initiatives by small margins) 📰 Read the full story here:

Wayne, Planned Parenthood aborts more than 392,000 innocent babies a year. It’s responsible for 40% of all abortions in America. And it takes more than $1.9 million of our tax dollars every day. It has been caught selling the body parts of aborted babies. Its diabolical business model of abortion, flooding the courts with pro-abortion lawsuits, and taking our tax dollars has led to exorbitant record profits. Planned Parenthood is drastically expanding its abortion empire, but many states are fighting back by passing laws to defund Planned Parenthood – to stop giving our money to the abhorrent abortion industry. Planned Parenthood has lashed back in court. Now a case being appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court could determine whether states can defund the abortion industry. This case could literally decimate Planned Parenthood. IN JUST 2 DAYS, we’re filing a vital amicus brief at the Supreme Court to defund and defeat Planned Parenthood.

You can't miss this one! Mark your calendars for July 30th 3PM ET! Abortion Access in the United States has been severely restricted since the Supreme Court Decision, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, in June 2022. Some states rushed to totally ban abortion and related reproductive healthcare, while others protected it in their constitutions and expanded access for out-of-state patients. Additional legislative actions included passing laws that restricted access to information about abortion and reproductive care. In an attempt to restrict abortion access, some legislators proposed and passed legislation that goes beyond abortion care and restricts our Free Speech rights. Our partners, Woodhull Freedom Foundation, will address this intersection during their next Censorship Series and provide you with tools for countering this dangerous trend. I am a scholar activist, so I always love leading with facts because...facts don't lie. For Black women, girls and gender-expansive people, barriers to accessing abortion care have grown even more daunting since the overturn of Roe v. Wade. The past two years since the Dobbs decision have exposed the fact that Roe was never and has never been enough to secure full reproductive autonomy for our communities. The majority of Black women of reproductive age in the United States now live in states that have both banned or are likely to ban abortion, and we are some of the hardest hit by policies that seek to control our reproductive futures. Over the past two years we have seen Black women targeted by law enforcement for pregnancy loss, persistent racial disparities in maternal health outcomes for Black mothers, and skyrocketing costs of accessing abortion care due to state abortion bans. Our recent poll revealed that approximately 40% of Black women of reproductive age feel less safe and are less sure about whether to have children because of abortion bans. Everyone should be able make their own decisions about pregnancy and health care without the fear of government interference. #DobbsAnniversary
