What’s YOUR reaction when “life” happens? Do you freak out, or can you “flip the switch”, to choose your best, most Heroic response? If you (like I used to, years ago), just lose your mind, please understand that that is a choice. Viktor Frankl, the Holocaust survivor and author of Man’s Search for Meaning, wrote, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Dr. Frankl saw that space, some call it the gap, as the place for the exercising of one of a person’s true freedoms, that of choosing our attitude at any given moment. The next time there is an event, to which you’ve previously responded to in a way that doesn’t match who you wish to be at your best, or who you’re becoming, then take a pause. No judgement is necessary in so many cases, so take you time. Reflect on how you want to react or respond, from the virtues which best exemplify your best self. Then, do that. How does that feel? Seriously, how does it feel to act in an integrated way, in a way most aligned with your best, most Heroic self? And if you’re just imagining at this point and have yet to exercise this freedom, how do you think it would feel? Share in the comments below, or feel free to DM me, if that works best for you.

📚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐭-𝐒𝐨-𝐀𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐭 📖 So, yesterday I dropped some knowledge bombs about the perks of reading, right? - https://lnkd.in/ga5YJDQy Well, guess what? A buddy hit me up and was like, "Dude, spill the tea about your own journey!" And I thought, "Why not?" 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤: Alright, truth time—I wasn't always the speediest reader, and my interest in books was more of a slow burn. But hey, I managed to plow through a few self-help books last year, even if it felt like pulling teeth. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐛 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Then, it hit me like a ton of bricks—it was all about consistency, baby! And then, a friend said, "Why not try some fiction?" And lo and behold, it was like finding buried treasure! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧: Keeping it simple, folks. One chapter a day, rain or shine. Sure, life throws curveballs, but I'm holding steady. Now, I'm all about those plot twists and character arcs that keep me hooked. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭: Forget about setting book quotas—I'm all about enjoying the ride. It's about soaking up every page and letting the story whisk me away. So, why spill my guts? Hoping to inspire y'all to jump on the reading bandwagon. It's not about the numbers, folks— it's about the journey. Let's dive into those literary adventures, one chapter at a time! 🌟 PS. I wish I had read more novels apart from those in CBSE syllabus in school :p #ReadingForTheWin #ConsistencyIsTheKey
