This career advice gave me significant pause. 🤔 (Hint: It's not wrong, it's just incomplete!) While Alex Hormozi often offers valuable insights, this particular message raised concerns. Here's why: 🤔 THE UNSPOKEN ASSUMPTION Much of today's career guidance carries a hidden premise: Your ultimate goal should be building an entrepreneurial venture. "You're not truly free unless you're working for yourself!" If that genuinely excites you, then by all means, go for it! But someone else's dream shouldn't automatically be yours. 🎯 DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS It's crucial to recognize that people have vastly different goals and definitions of an ideal life: • Some find fulfillment in providing for their family and having ample time for relationships. • Others seek a comfortable living that allows them to pursue hobbies, serve others, and give back to their community. • Many thrive in specialized careers or academic pursuits. Can you achieve these goals as an entrepreneur? Possibly, but it often comes with unique challenges and trade-offs. 🔑 KEY IDEA: Chart Your Own Course! Don't let someone else's vision become your default aspiration. Whether you're drawn to entrepreneurship, a traditional career, or an entirely different path, what matters is alignment with your personal values and goals. ⚖️ A BALANCED VIEW • Entrepreneurship isn't inherently better than other career paths. • Our economy and society need people in various roles and professions. • There's no shame in pursuing a passion that doesn't fit the "startup founder" mold. 🌟 THE REAL GOAL: Finding Your True Calling The most fulfilling path aligns with your unique strengths and values. It could be entrepreneurship, a 9-to-5 job, or something entirely different. Our world needs entrepreneurs, doctors, employees, researchers, builders, artists, academics, and people in countless other roles. There is no single "right" career path. If you work a 9-5 job. You will never accomplish your dreams. Forget about working on the 12 federal holidays per year. Forget about the 104 weekend days you get per year. Forget about the time you have from 5 AM - 9 AM. Forget about the time you have from 5 PM - 9 PM. Forget about ALL of that, because you "don't have time" to go after your dreams. Or maybe your dreams aren't for you.

Happy 4th of July! In honor of the holiday, I want to talk about freedom- job freedom. Something very American and powerful is that we are employees at will. This is usually talked about in favor of the employer, however, I want to flip it around for a second. So many people are in toxic job environments right now and have crippling anxiety about leaving the workplace. Sure, two weeks is standard to give in terms of leaving a job, but it's not required. It's not THE LAW. You have the power to leave. When you want. How you want. You are not being forced to stay against your will. When you think of quotas, preferential hiring, and legal mandates, you're thinking about AA. #DEI is the broader idea that a healthy work culture is one where multiple types of people have a reasonable opportunity to succeed--where race or gender or veteran status or economic background isn't an inherently limiting factor. Maternity leave is DEI. Flexible scheduling: DEI. Individual accommodations for religious holidays: DEI. But why should we care whether multiple kinds of people can succeed at a company?

Starting in 2023, Ireland introduced a new annual public holiday to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day. This holiday is observed on the first Monday of February. However, if the 1st of February falls on a Friday, that Friday becomes a public holiday. 📆 The St. Brigid’s Day public holiday falls on Monday, February 3rd this year.
