✨ New Look, Same Mission: Rodman for Kids ✨ For 34 years, we’ve been empowering youth-focused nonprofits to build brighter futures. At this year's Celebration for Kids, we unveiled our new look and were reminded why we do what we do: the kids. Seeing their energy and excitement as they proudly walked the Celebration for Kids catwalk wearing our logo brought it all full circle. 💫 Our mission remains as strong as ever, grounded in these pillars: 1️⃣ Empowering nonprofit leaders through professional and leadership development. 2️⃣ Connecting them by offering opportunities for networking and collaboration. 3️⃣ Uplifting youth-focused charities by providing direct funding, as well as opportunities to raise more funds. These values drive our impact, empowering youth-focused charities across Massachusetts to build brighter futures for the kids and families they serve. I know that this information may shock and surprise you... but it's Giving Tuesday! Obviously there are an enormous amount of newsletters, posts and emails going out across all mediums of digital communication today sharing that very same exclamation, but I can't help but mention just how deserving Edgewater Castle Football Club is of your support. For the last 7 years, we have build an organic grassroots community soccer club on the foundational pillars of volunteerism, community engagement, creativity and sustainably accessible programming. Through our strong partnerships with civic and private organizations of like-minded values, we have been able to not only sustain ourselves, but grow dramatically year over year, all while not charging a single player a single cent to participate in any of these programs - from youth after-school soccer camps to our elite adult teams - none of our players pay to play. This means that every dollar we have ever received has gone directly toward providing more opportunities to more players in our neighborhoods. A large part of our success has been the support of individuals in our community and abroad who are willing to chip in and help. Our club is changing a great deal in the next few months (all for the better & more on that soon), yet our foundations and our values are set in stone, and the people who have helped build our castle - stone by stone - have had an enormously important hand in making that the case. Today, we faced a heartbreaking reality. Out of a group of excited children eager to watch a soccer game, 17 couldn’t join us—not because they didn’t want to go, but because their parents had no way to get them there. My car, with just five seats, was only able to bring a few children along to enjoy the game. 💔 ⚽️ volunteers cancelled Transportation is a significant hurdle for us, and it limits the experiences we can provide. Imagine what it would mean for these children to have a dedicated vehicle—a van or larger car that could bring the whole team along. They deserve to feel the joy, teamwork, and energy of a soccer game, right in their own community. We’re immensely grateful for the support we’ve received, but today showed us that there’s so much more we can give with the right resources. With a larger vehicle, we could expand our reach and make sure every child gets a chance to learn, laugh, and build memories that will last a lifetime. “Thanks to BJSS, we’re now saving hours of time per week, which means we can spend more time supporting our players, on and off the pitch.” Street Soccer Scotland, a charity that supports individuals affected by homelessness through football-based programmes, helps participants build confidence, develop skills, and connect with supportive communities. Recently, BJSS’s #SkilledVolunteers partnered with Street Soccer Scotland to enhance its operations by automating processes in Salesforce, improving how the charity tracks volunteer efforts and celebrates their contributions. By improving the backend systems, BJSS has helped Street Soccer Scotland recognise the hard work of its volunteers more efficiently and effectively, allowing the organisation to focus on delivering life-changing programs that empower people and promote positive outcomes. It's a great example of using technology to reduce administrative overhead, allow the charity to do more with less and increase engagement with the people it supports. When March rolls around, we’re all basketball fans. This year,  experience the thrill of March Madness and get an opportunity to win big in a new way. Pick the winner of the men's tournament, women's tournament, or both. Winners from each tournament will split the total pool, up to $500 each. The more entries the bigger the prize, the more raised for A Moment of Magic and our important work. Here’s how to get involved! You can enter as many teams as you want for both the men's and women's tournaments!   For example:  If you buy 5 tickets for Gonzaga to win your name will be entered 5 times under Gonzaga. If you buy an additional 5 tickets for UNC, your name will be entered 5 times under UNC. If Gonzaga loses in the second round, you still have 5 opportunities to win as long as UNC stays viable. If UNC becomes the National Champion, you have 5 chances to win the big prize! If UNC loses before the championship, you always have the option to buy additional entries under a team still in the tournament.    You can buy entries at the beginning of the tournament or wait until the competition narrows down, but after each round entry prices will increase.   At the end of the tournament, we will randomly select an entry from those who selected the winner to receive the cash prize!   50% of funds raised will support A Moment of Magic's work in providing creative programming and support to vulnerable and underserved children!
