I sat on the Board of a new nonprofit and, at the time, had almost 10 years of nonprofit experience in Administration, Fundraising, and Programs and it was confusing. There was so much to do on top of that! That’s when I started researching why new nonprofits fail. 50% of all new nonprofits fail the first year because of a lack of infrastructure and a lack of funding. So I set out to solve that problem by figuring out the infrastructure that supports funding. This may be a better platform than those other social media sites for this question. I play a large role in fundraising for a non-profit in my community. We raise a good amount of money each year, and I don't see myself stepping away from this any time soon. So, I pose you this question. Is it right for me to use those contacts(and their checkbooks) to help a new non-profit(school sports team) that currently lacks someone to do this? My current stance is that I want to avoid double-dipping into these supporters directly but rather offer guidance as to who and what has been successful for me in the past. #Fundraising #NonProfit #YouthSports
