1yAfter 20 odd years as a faculty member and administrator in Higher Education and now helping nonprofit boards with their strategic plans, one of the things that feels significant in this discussion is who senior leadership think is the audience for a strategic plan. So much that finds its way into a plan, from different perspectives around “the house”, seems “political” or even just lip service. My experience is limited to only four HE institutions (all different types) asa faculty member but if there could be more effort spent on true, convergent dialogue around common ground and shared understanding BEFORE writing the plan … imagine - everyone might actually want to use the plan to create change. #simplenoteasy
