A mini interview series with questions asked to fitness, hospitality and wellness - industry leaders. No1 - by Ross Stewart Campbell CEO & Founder of Beyond Activ Why do you think there is currently a lot of focus of fitness & recovery in hospitality? "There is a growing interest in fitness and recovery within hospitality and for multiple reasons. From the investor and operator side, they seek new and exciting experiences for their guests to enjoy during their stays, they also want these experiences to be attractive to local guests and engage their local communities. These opportunities increase localised customers [read: revenue], attract new overseas guests, increase ancillary guest revenue and allow properties to compete more successfully against a wave of newly built and newly renovated properties, many investing significantly in health and wellness services. From the consumer side, more health-conscious travellers are now frequently choosing accommodation that offers them access to health and wellness experiences and benefits. New and improved fitness and recovery services enable properties to serve their guests + members with the services they need, wherever they are and wherever they travel to. Strategically and commercially, it is a win-win for all involved. Investment will only continue to grow across the market segment, especially in personal training, functional training, infrared saunas, cryotherapy, contrast therapy, hyperbaric chambers, IV drips and on-site physiotherapy." - Ross Campbell

Wellness real estate is experiencing growth, transforming hospitality into comprehensive, life-altering experiences. As a wellness and health marketing agency founder, I see this shift creating exciting opportunities for brands. What's fueling this evolution? • Integrating Eastern and Western wellness modalities into the fabric of these spaces such as dedicated meditation studios and Ayurvedic treatment rooms to integrated programs combining yoga with strength training • Wellness integrated into diverse spaces—from residential developments and co-working spaces to historical sites. • High-end brands leveraging cutting-edge technology like AI diagnostics and full-body MRI scans, for example a luxury resort offering access to full-body MRI scans and consultations with specialists to develop individualised wellness programs • The rise of bespoke programs and tailored treatments - Wellness real estate is designed to facilitate highly personalised wellness journeys, with on-site experts and tailored interventions based on individual needs and preferences. For brands, this means focusing on: → Creating Immersive Experiences Deliver emotionally resonant experiences that foster deep connections with your audience. → Compelling Storytelling Articulate your unique approach to wellness and showcase the tangible benefits guests can expect. → Targeted Marketing Strategies Reach specific niche markets with tailored messaging that addresses their unique needs and aspirations. → Showcasing the Transformative Environment Highlight the design, ambiance, and technology that contribute to the overall wellness experience. → Emphasising Long-Term Value and Well-being Demonstrate the lasting impact of your offerings and the tools guests/clients gain for continued wellness. #wellness #wellnessrealestate #experientialmarketing #luxurywellness
