Everyone is different, but I love coming to the office. For me, it is a great way to connect to the team and collaborate effectively on tasks and projects. Its also more what I am used to having worked in London and commuted every day pre COVID. However, I understand how for many people hybrid working is the best way to be productive due to various factors including travel, being able to finish more at home or just simply having more home-cooked meals. That's why we have implemented this model at 4PointZero. Because everyone should be comfortable while doing their job. We still spend productive time during office days, but we also spend it working from our home desks. And this system works great for us. What are your thoughts on the hybrid working model? Office Rules for Autumn: - Complain about the weather getting colder at least three times a day. - Remind everyone, that summer was too short. - Ask, “When do the clocks go back?” at least once a week. - Remind yourself it's too early to talk about Christmas - Start every conversation with “Can’t believe how quickly the year’s gone.” - Comment on how the days are getting shorter and how soon you'll soon be leaving for work in the dark and come home in the dark. Weekends are often seen as a time to unwind and relax, but for me, they’ve become some of the most productive and rewarding days of the week. Spending time working with my amazing partners feels less like “work” and more like an opportunity to collaborate, create, and push our vision forward. There’s something so fulfilling about building together, bouncing ideas off each other, and seeing our efforts take shape in real time.💸 I’ve learned that true progress comes from working alongside people who share your passion and drive. Whether we’re brainstorming new ideas, tackling challenges, or simply refining the details, every moment spent together is a step toward something greater. This is Day 10 of the LAMBDAdvent Calendar. Today’s function is ISWEEKEND. Checks whether a date is a weekend day, and returns TRUE/FALSE. In the UK, people tend to use their annual leave to have additional time off over the Christmas period. The problem is that with so many public holidays, it’s difficult to remember whether you’re off because (a) it’s a public holiday, (b) you’ve taken time off, (c) it’s the weekend. The ISWEEKEND function addresses one of these issues. Therefore, #Excel can help you to know if a date is a weekend day or not You will need Excel 365 to use these functions. 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍  To create the ISWEEKEND function: [1] In Excel, click Formulas > Define Name [2] In the Name box enter: ISWEEKEND [3] Copy and paste the code below into the Refers to box: =LAMBDA(date,WEEKDAY(date,2)>=6) [4] Click OK 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐗  ISWEEKEND(date) - date: the date serial number to check 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 Is 27 December 2024 a weekend? =ISWEEKEND(DATE(2024,12,27)) Result: FALSE Is the 28 December 2024 a weekend? =ISWEEKEND(DATE(2024,12,28)) Result: TRUE

We recently had our twice annual company-wide week off at Butter 🧈 🔌📴🔕 What a breath of fresh air! 🌬️ It’s a whole week where the entire team takes days off, fully paid. We schedule these breaks during the quieter periods—once in the slow days of summer and again during the Christmas through New Year's stretch. It’s a great way to truly switch off as nobody is dependent on anyone checking their Slack or email. You’re guaranteed you’re not going to receive any urgent messages from anyone during this week and you can rest assured no one is waiting on you to respond. The way it’s set up lets everyone fully relax. Some of us doing customer support still peek in now and again for urgent issues, but fortunately most requests can wait till we’re back, fully recharged. 🔋 Makes so much sense for everyone to take time off at the same time!
