I was recently having a conversation with a client about how remote working has significantly transformed the workplace. Now, employees can connect to corporate networks from virtually anywhere. During our discussion, I asked the client how they were handling password resets for their remote employees, especially since they don’t have a self-service password reset portal. Their current process involved contacting IT, requesting a password reset, and hoping for a quick resolution. But with the rise of AI and voice impersonation, verifying the identity of the caller became a growing concern for them. I proposed a simple yet effective solution: Implementing caller verification IT could call the user's registered phone number to confirm their identity before proceeding with the password reset. This approach is cost-effective, doesn’t require additional staff, and helps bolster security. What do you think of this approach? Have you faced similar challenges in your business?
