In the rapidly evolving landscape of 5G New Radio (NR) technology, maintaining signal integrity and minimizing interference are more important. ACLR quantifies the ratio of power transmitted on the intended channel to the power that 'leaks' into neighbouring channels. The 3GPP technical specifications (TS 38.104) define ACLR as the ratio of the filtered mean power centered on the assigned channel frequency to the filtered mean power centered on an adjacent channel frequency. This 'leakage' can occur due to various factors, including non-linearities in power amplifiers and imperfect filtering. ACLR requirements apply to both single-carrier and multi-carrier transmissions, encompassing all transmission modes specified by the manufacturer. For base stations operating in non-contiguous spectrum or with multi-band connectors, specific ACLR and CACLR (Cumulative ACLR) requirements apply to sub-block gaps and inter-RF bandwidth gaps. https://lnkd.in/gEse3jRj #ACLR #5G #Layer1 #PHY #3GPP #techedgewireless
