It is time to confront some extremely unpleasant questions. What follows is directed primarily at my fellow American citizens (especially veterans like myself and active duty military), but I also encourage people in other parts of the world to offer their viewpoints. 1) Do you think it is probable that members of the losing side in the 2024 presidential election will respond to the situation with violence? 2) If this happens, do you think it is probable that the ensuing conflict could significantly disrupt the operation of Constitutional government? 3) If you answered "yes" to both of the questions above, what preparations (if any) are you making for this scenario? In particular, who do you view as being your "allies" and what does the term "allies" mean? There is a lot of food for thought here. Take as much time as you need in preparing your responses.

Following the breakout of the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas in late 2023, the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) began an ongoing series of reports designed to surface detailed information about the war. ISW aims to advance an informed understanding of military affairs through reliable research, trusted analysis, and innovative education. Through extensive aid from the Babel Street Insights platform, ISW was able to build an incredibly detailed analysis of the Hamas order of battle, including hard-to-find and hard-to-confirm information that offered cutting-edge illumination on military movements and personnel.
