https://lnkd.in/eKfJ3jHs Reflecting on the sentiments expressed in Frederick Douglass' speech and the progress made since then, it's clear that the journey towards freedom and equality has been long and arduous. Douglass himself, a fierce advocate for justice, might marvel at the strides taken towards inclusivity and representation in the United States. If Douglass were to witness his descendants and others exercising their rights and contributing to the nation's democracy, he would likely feel a profound sense of pride and accomplishment. He would see the fruits of the labor of countless individuals who have fought to ensure that the ideals of liberty and justice are extended to all citizens. Independence Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom and the ongoing responsibility to uphold these values. It's a day to remember the past struggles and to commit to active participation in shaping a more equitable future. I encourage you to reflect on the importance of voting and participating in democracy which aligns with the very principles Douglass and the founding fathers advocated for—a nation where every voice is heard and every vote counts. In essence, Independence Day is not only a celebration of historical achievements but also a call to action to preserve and enhance the liberties we hold dear, ensuring they are passed on to future generations. Douglass would likely encourage us to continue the work of making America a place of opportunity and fairness for all.

This article contains a quote from an Equal Opportunity advisor to the CNO; “[if Trump is elected]…. I wouldn’t be able to come out and say I’m a DEI practitioner…..I would just say I’m an Equal Opportunity advisor.” He is not just parsing words. He’s indicating willful violation of his sacred oath. DEI is the application of CRT (an acknowledged principle of Marxist revolutionaries). Equal opportunity is the application of the American (Constitutional) principle that “all men are created equal”. These two principles cannot co-exist in any rational system. Especially one whose purpose is to defend the US Constitution. I swore an oath to defend the US Constitution. Which side are YOU on? https://lnkd.in/gfCeGXkT

I don’t mean to be Negative Nancy, but someone has to say it. The blog I wrote reflects a critical perspective on contemporary American society and politics, framed through the principles of the Declaration of Independence. It suggests that the foundational ideals of equality, government by consent, the right to alter or abolish government, natural rights, and the indictment of tyranny are being undermined or forgotten. There, I express my disappointment in how these principles are currently interpreted and applied, particularly criticizing the influence of wealth in politics, recent Supreme Court decisions, and the behavior and policies of Donald Trump (referred to as "Orange Man"). The piece argues that modern America has strayed from its foundational values, emphasizing the importance of intellectual honesty and civic responsibilities in shaping the future of the country. @followers @highlight I’ll also plug my novel, #thelastindependenceday. If there was ever a time to read it to get one version of unchecked extremism, this would be it.
